After driving 15 mins to find a store that was open, we found your 95 SB location - always reliable - was open. I actually shop here daily, and always have a great experience. First walking in, the cashier, Ephram, was having an involved conversation with another gentleman. He completely ignored me when I asked how he was. Upon swiping my card, it said APPROVED, he bagged my items, and we left. As I'm walking out the door, the parking lot side, not the pump side, he comes out and says "you stole that" and "you cancelled your card". Confused, we followed him back in completely being ignored when we questioned him. Upon arrival back in the store, he is making a scene, and I notice that the customers who were behind us were STILL there. So he walked all the way down the mall to get us, and left all these people there? WOW! And we weren't walking fast, so what WAS he doing the entire time we were walking? Anyways, I re-swipe my card, and it says APPROVED again, and the screen clears. I mention this and he tells me that I cancelled the transaction. Of course I didn't! It said approved. I try to step away to see if I was charged, and he starts yelling "Yo" and "Hey you" at my partner. My partner informs him that he is extremely rude, and that at minimum he should be "sir". Your cashier says "you're not a sir." WTF!? He then starts to taunt me and invite me behind the register saying "come on, come on." Finally he hands me a slip, the below pictured, and it's clear to see what is happening...There is a $2.79 balance owed. EASY FIX! I pull out a $10 bill, and he refuses! Says he can't split it. I totally don't understand. This guy was so rude, and you now had an entire line of people, so we gave him your items back and walked out. I have worked in a very customer service oriented field - public safety - for over 20 years. I would never have spoken to a customer like that, nor would I have ever been ill-trained to the point where I allow a customer to walk out before a transaction is complete, nor would I leave a full store to get a customer who I could easily have called out to, NOR would I ever accuse a customer of stealing or canceling a transaction when I actually screwed up. And why wouldn't he accept my legal tender once I discovered what was going on? And why was he so nasty? Finally, why did he REFUSE to give me a number or name for his manager? This guy is a HORRIBLE reflection of your company, and has caused you to lose a customer who stops DAILY! Never again AllTown!
