Spent five magic nights with Kim, Tim, and Camille at Alpine Lodge. The perfect respite prior to delivering kids to summer camp. Enjoyed our efficiency cabin, Cedar, very much. It had absolutely everything that we needed to make an excellent home base for exploring the Northwoods. Breakfasts were terrific and home cooked by Kim. Kim and Tim created an atmosphere that was friendly, attentive and relaxing. They were terrific guides offering lots of options for exploring the area. Lucky enough to watch Camille do battle with the red squirrel! Don't miss this gem of a place.

This place is amazing. Owners go above and beyond to make sure you're experience in the north woods is one to remember. I'll be back every year.

We (party of 10) had booked this resort for a fee of $329/ night and were promised a luxurious getaway in the northern woods. What we ended up getting was a stay in a cabin that was infested with insects, a dead mouse in the kitchen and a very rude host/hostess when confronted about the issues. We were literally yelled at and sworn at when we confronted them about the sanitary conditions in the cabin. We were asked to leave immediately if we chose to and having made plans to visit nearby attractions, we were forced to stay in the location at the mercy of the host and hostess. The hosts also charged our credit card without our permission and approval and threatened that we would not be able to leave the area without paying the entire amount. We were disputing a charge that the hosts added to our already pricey stay for a horse ride enquiry that we had made to go riding as a group. Due to some unavoidable circumstances that sprouted due to the lack of sanitation and pest control in the cabin, we were unable to make the "supposed" time slot for the horse rides. The hosts added a fee of 210$'s for this on to our bill without our approval and ran the same against our credit card. The hostess yelled at us and threatened us using unparlimentary(f**) words of dire consequences if we left without paying for the entire bill. The dead mice in the cabin caused one of the infants in the party to fall sick and another was bitten all over his body by bugs that were present within the cabin at night.

We had a great time with Kim & Tim. Loved the rustic feel with great food and a great wine selection.
