Story

Alta California, a territory in New Spain & later a department in independent Mexico. The territory was created in 1804 out of the northern part of the former providence Las California's, &consisted of the American states known as CA, NV, AZ, UT, western CO & southwestern WY. The territory passed to American control after the Mexican–American War & ceased to exist with the creation of the State of California in 1850. We are pleased to honor our historical background and continue to remind us of our California history. We are honored to bring you a great mix of Mexican American food to your delight!!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is very friendly and the food is phenomenal. I enjoy the layout of the kitchen, and it's a treat to see the food being cooked. The cucumber and lime juice with chia seeds is quite refreshing, and I dream about the pastor tacos. The atmosphere is very calming, almost tranquil.

One of the most authentic and best Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles. Very good service, delicious authentic food and really good agua frescas. I come here regularly as my office is right up the road. Come see for yourself!

My wife and son liked it. My wife is picky when it comes to Mexican food, only because she loves it. My 11yr old son is as picky. He ordered the carne asada plate w/rice and beans and he like it. My wife ordered the beef burrito and she also liked it. They both said there is a hint of sweetness to the food, wierd, and found it to be the rice having some cinnamon flavor. I lkked the al pastor taco and rhe beans. Im use to porter house and medium rare for my steaks so i dont like eating them at mexican restaurants which is why I'll say i didnt like it. We ordered our plates to go and everything looked presentable. The location is nice and also offer seating outside. Well decorated. Cons Parking lot is small so if you're in a group it may be best to carpool, however, when i went the place was really really empty and i believe that it is because this place DOES NOT serve alcohol. So to the owners of this place, you have a great location, attractive enough to bring in customers, and you should consider selling alcohol. Its a Mexican restaurant and we like Margaritas...

Waitresses are very friendly and the food was great. I had the birria plate that came with rice, beans, and tortillas and a delicious cucumber lime chia seed agua fresca. Parking is very limited but they also do to-go orders.
