As the warm weather is rolling around it’s time for getting necessities for the beach. The selection at Alvin’s Island is great for anything you need, but the staff is not accommodating or friendly. I want to be able to go to a store for beach things but I will not return to Alvin’s Island. Last year I asked to get a towel that was on one of the walls. Standing there looking no one wanted any want in helping me or asking if I needed any assistance. When I asked to get a towel, one of the men on a ladder got a pole for getting a towel. As he got it he started waving it in the air like a flag back and forth for about 30 seconds and thought it was hilarious as did the rest of the staff just standing around. As a customer that was aggravating, all I asked for was a towel. This is very disappointing. People come here for vacation and should be able to have good service as they come here to enjoy. Staff needs to be shown what it’s like to give good customer service.

Liked it.  Laid back place with many souvenirs and cool things beach.  Has beach games and mostly a large middle area to buy clothes.  Clothes are reasonably priced.  A good selection but not a large selection by no means.  Has different beach apparel to all sorts of beach trinkets.  They do sell small crabs and little aquariums of different sizes there.  Plenty of parking space.  Easy to see from the main highway.  Easy navigation in and out.

First time working there awesome but afterwards you learn its just for kids... So good luck with finding good service from the old schools..

Liked it. Lot's of good things to take back from vacation.   First time there but heard of it many times.  Was there with the woman of my dreams and found almost all I was looking for.  The only thing is that I wish they had more tee shirts that did not involve the place we were visiting.

Not a bad place for souvenir shopping and looking for summer items. Some items are a little pricy for a souvenir shop. You would think their summer stuff is on clearance now that we're well into fall but no.
