If I could give 0 stars I would. We are a military family and moved from New York to Georgia and this company did a horrible job! They packed dishes with desk stuff without wrapping them in paper, opened cleaning products with pillows and food. They broke a glass while packing and they guy lied to me by saying it was a very small glass but later I saw a piece on the floor to one of my nice big glasses. I asked for 5 wardrobe boxes for my 3 closets and they stored toys in wardrobe boxes and charged me extra for them. They forgot dishes, my vacuum, dog kennel, shoe rack and garage stuff that they had to come back and get as he was trying to get me to sign the papers. They stole my wedding band that I never got to wear right out of the box but packed the empty box. They took coins from my sons piggy bank, they labeled boxes wrong. They charged us so much for extra boxes because they used more than what we asked for by not filling the ones we asked for all the way. They charged us for 3 mattress boxes but only used 1 which was our queen and folded my sons twin in half and tapped 2 boxes together for my toddler's bed. They broke the plug to my brand new dryer. I'm also missing a video camera, fire pit and kiddie pool. There was a pile of stuff I asked them not to pack and they packed it anyway and I wasn't aware of these things until we got our stuff at our new house because my husband was already in Georgia during the packing and I was trying to keep my 5, 3 and 1 year old out of the way and couldn't keep watching the movers to see what they were doing. Our weight went over by almost 3k pounds and when we tried to pay the rest of the balance with credit card since we only had enough cash for what they had told us it was going to be, they denied it and were not working with us at all or trying to help us find a different way to pay. They pretty much told us too bad, pay or your stuff will be put in storage and you also have to pay for that. When they delivered, they were rude and smelled horrible and when they finished, one of the guys literally washed his upper body in my sink. It was the worst moving company I have ever dealt with and I will neve use them again or ever recommend them but keep giving bad reviews to all our friends who constantly are also moving.

First off, I would like to say thank you to the manager Mike for being really patient with my mother. My mom was moving to PA to live with us and called a couple of moving companies to get an estimate. She was a little dismayed because the other companies she spoke with were trying to pressure her into booking right away by giving a deposit. The only company that told her to take her time and call back if she had any other questions was Affordable Moving. I really hate to see the other reviews posted because they do not reflect the service my mother received at all. They were very professional from pickup to delivery. We do not plan on moving again but if we do, you will certainly hear from us.

Drivers are rude, blocked my parking space while moving in for a new condo owner neighbor ,and have left a huge ball of used tape at the bottom of the stairs at 2117 Lakewood Club Dr S in St Petersburg FL

Worst 2.5 weeks of my life. This company has amazing kind workers that come to your home & do respect your property & are friendly. The mamagment is ignorant, rude, & dont care about you once they have your stuff! After waiting 2 weeks to get my stuff & many unpreductive phone calls... They finally delivered my household goods. I have to give it to the workers that there was only one thing broken. They piled heavy stuff on an entertainment center. Bowed it & broke off trim. It is supposed ro be covered but when you call they tell you no it isnt. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IF YOU USE A GOOGLE SEARCH MOVING COMPANY LIKE MAP SYSTEMS... RUN! DO IT YOURSELF! PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!

Like Kenny, I was a little in doubt about using them in the beginning due to the less than desirable reviews. I received four different estimates for my move to Atlanta for the reason of being closer to my kids and grandchildren. At 73, I take a regiment of medications for my blood pressure, diabetes, etc. Usually when I travel I always take a supply equal to double the amount of my planned trip. Affordable Moving was my first estimate and gave me a time frame of 9 to 11 days from pickup to delivery. Of course I was hoping to hear 3 to 4 days but he was firm on the time. As I continued to receive quotes, each company would beat the other not only in price but in time of arrival. I found this to be a little suspicious due to the fact that they all started around the 10 day figure and then came down. The sales manager Mike called me back twice and left a message for me to call him back. Initially I thought, maybe he will tell me that his company will be able to deliver my belonging the SAME DAY!! Much to my surprise, he stood firm on the 9 - 11 day delivery time. Explaining that unless a company is in business to lose money it is financially inconceivable to send a half filled truck that far from New Jersey without being a full load. He said once your stuff is on the truck, you are at the mercy of the moving company and their ability to book another move going that way. He also emphasized to me when I mentioned I had to call him back because I had to eat and take my medication that I should pack an additional box with enough medication for at least 15 days even though I was told as little as 3 days by some companies. Even at the cost of losing a potential customer he stayed firm on the date and said if we can get it there sooner we will but it is better to prepare for 11 days. His estimate was a very competitive price as he said they are trying to rebuild after many years of bad management. I decided to go with them and they came on the scheduled pickup day. All of my furniture was handled with care. I have some pieces of furniture that are collectibles and they were all padded and stowed in the truck properly. The moving guys were all well-mannered and one of them even bought me lunch when he went out to get lunch for the rest of the crew. Unfortunately, I don't eat McDonald's anymore but it was a nice gesture. What I really want to thank the staff over there for is helping me when our car broke down in North Carolina. An old friend drove down with me to Atlanta and about 60 miles north of Charlotte, his car started overheating so we pulled over on the side of the road. I have never been mechanically inclined, either has my friend. I am not very good at searching the internet on these modern day cell phones. They look more like a cockpit panel of the airplanes I worked on when I was in the service as a young man. Accidently, I hit my redial button and ended up calling Affordable instead of my daughter. When I told the agent I had misdialed and that I was actually trying to get in touch with my daughter because we were broke down on the road and we needed to find a tow truck, he insisted on finding something for me and making sure that I would be okay. While I was on the phone, he three way called a couple local towing companies in the area I was in and got the one with the best price and fastest response. 45 minutes later the truck arrived and towed us back to their shop. They replaced the water pump that day and we were back on the road the following morning. My items were delivered on day 10, unloaded and placed in the appropriate rooms in my apartment. I even received a Dominoes gift card that I can't use but my grandkids will surely enjoy it. Not only did I receive great service from an honest company but I gained a friend as well. Everybody deserves a second chance, I am glad I booked with your company. Keep up the good work guys, the cream always rises to the top!
