Story

Amaru Confections is a specialty cake and dessert shop, creating one-of-a-kind confections for weddings, private parties, birthdays, baby showers, corporate events and other special occasions. The retail store offers a daily selection of cookies, cupcakes, cakes and other desserts. Amaru Confections is the only bakery in Boise that has a separate and dedicated gluten free bakery in addition to their traditional bakery. You can find their gluten free as well as their regular items in numerous coffee shops, grocery stores and restaurants all across the Treasure Valley.

Ordered a cake from there last minute for a birthday! Told them to do whatever they want just gave them a theme! Customer service was amazing! So nice and explained everything to me! Cake turned out beautiful will be recommending them! Loved there service!!

We ordered the vegan spiced chai, vegan chocolate, vegan red velvet, and vegan & gluten free vanilla. 

Positives: They all tasted amazing! And I really loved how my cake turned out. It totally fit within my theme and tasted amazing!

Negatives: The day of our tasting, they prepared all non-vegan options for us to try. When they realized their mistake, they had nothing available for us to try. Even though we asked for all vegan cupcakes/cake, I noticed 6 weeks before my wedding, that the frosting on all the cupcakes and the cake were not vegan. Thankfully, I noticed early enough that we were able to get it fixed. They could work on their customer service skills.

I am really glad to know they expanded into a coffee and tea house.
I have always loved the goodies they bake. Gluten Free and Dairy free.

I purchase a $40 cake for my daughter's 50th Birthaday it was horrible The inside looked like it was prepared by a Grade school student so much frosting 1" on top and so much inside done very unprofessionally very little cake. None of the guests could eat the outside frosting. Very disappointed. I have had items from your business before and they were excellent. Whoever made this cake made it in haste. I will not be a customer again.

Honestly, so disappointed. I drove 30 minutes to try out the vegan cupcakes from here because I have seen them in grocery stores. I was hoping instead of trying frozen ones at the store, I could have fresh ones from their store front. I was sad to find that they were still frozen. Couldn't even eat them right away. Not sure if they just make big batches at a time or what but I was so sad. Once it thawed a little I wasn't impressed. The icing was not good at all and the cake itself had a decent flavor but the consistency of a muffin. I won't be returning.
