It’s a really nice theater. Offers 3D and BigD experience as well. Staff is friendly. The place is new so everything looks really nice. Seats are comfortable. It’s usually busy on weekends.  Weekdays is not much people, so don’t be surprised if you and your friend are the only one in the theater watching the movie. Sometimes there are not many people, so it’s like watching at your own private theater. The refreshments are a bit expensive as usual for a theater. They also offer alcohol options for adults. A lot of parking. Everything is nice, just the refreshments are bit expensive. But best theater in Altoona and surrounding areas.

Absolutely love this place. I couldn't believe how empty it was....it's a nice theater with extra comfort, drinks for adults (selected beer and wine), plenty of snacks to choose from, and different theaters for every occasion. Handicap friendly theater with closed caption and audio descriptive options.

I love going to the movies. It is great to have a cool new movie plex in our town. Special showings of Christian films and arts events are a plus.

We love this theater! We buy our tickets online, and the seats are super comfy and the snack selection is huge.

I don't usually give venues a full 5 star rating. I have to say though, that the AMC 12 in Altoona just plain deserves it! Okay, its a given, probably the fact that I was looking at movies I really wanted to see helped. But the hugeness of the screens, hi-def capability, 3D capability, and the lobby options really make going to movies at this location a treat I really look forward to!

For as much as cinemas cost today, my advice is, don't settle for less than the best. Altoona is a bit of a drive from where I live, and there are movie houses that are closer. I am at an age where I don't feel inclined to settle.
