My husband and I have been with American Family in Nevada since 2003 and we loved our agent Diana Barry. She was absolutely the best agent and person ever, we never had a problem dealing with her and the greatest thing is we actually dealt with her not others in the office. Her name was on the door and she is who we talked to every time. Then we moved to Idaho Falls and that all changed. Getting our insurance switched over was a living nightmare. We never got to speak with Alan Sargent once and his name is on the door. We always had to deal with Alexis Gardner and the girl up front Mackenzie. My husband has a CDL and she couldn't comprehend why his regular license was "suspended" once he got the CDL endorsement, she kept wanting to see both of his licenses, why was one of them suspended and was the reason he lost his license. I had to explain to her the process of a CDL endorsement. At first we figured things were done differently here in Idaho than Nevada when it comes to CDL so my husband talked to his employees who have a CDL and we found out that everything is the same as in Nevada. 

Then when we received the quotes for our new policies Alexis never changed any of our geographical information, everything was still the same like we never moved out of Nevada. When I brought it up to her she kept saying that was what was in the system so that is what she needs to go by. Why yes that was in the system since we lived in Nevada at one time BUT we moved to Idaho. She wouldn't change anything even though everything was incorrect.

My husband went and bought a used truck here on a Saturday and he was given until Wednesday of the next week to get it registered. I contacted Alexis on Monday morning to get the process going and she was made aware of the time sensitive deadline. There was a problem with the VIN number and instead of calling me she emailed me. I don't check my emails on a regular basis throughout the day especially when I'm out nv about so I never knew until about 3p that Monday. I notified her about the VIN correction and once again I told her that we need this ASAP so we could register the truck. Tuesday rolled round and still no word from Alexis so I called her and I couldn't get through to her so I had to leave a message with Mackenzie, then I emailed her. Then Wednesday rolled around and my husband was frantic and pissed so I tried to contact her once again no I found out she was out of the office for training for a couple of days. Then I tried called and had to leave a message on the main voicemail for Mackenzie at 10a. I never received a phone call from Mackenzie and I had to call her back at 1p. I then found out that our insurance was done Monday evening BUT we never received an email proof from Alexis. Needless to say I got quite upset on the phone and I even wanted to talk to Alan Sargent since once again his name is on the door but I was never given the opportunity, I was told he was way from his desk. We finally received proof of insurance that afternoon and my husband was able to go register the truck and on his way home he stopped by State Farm Insurance and started the process of us switching insurance companies. Within 24 hours we had everything quoted, completed and done proof of insurance was emailed to us and the best thing of all was all our information was changed to reflect our new address here in Idaho.

The really sad thing is I never once heard back from Alexis even when I called and cancelled our insurance.

Alan Sargent's agency is great! They were able to save me quite a bit of money on my autos for switching over. Everyone was very friendly and they explained coverage to make sure I understood exactly what I was getting. I would recommend them to anyone!

Our family has been with Alan Sargent's agency for a few years now. We have been totally impressed with the service. They have always been prompt to call us back, assist with claims, change coverage, and add/subtract cars. I love how they call each year to make sure we are correctly covered, and we are getting all the discounts we deserve. I would definitely recommend this agency to anyone.

Alan's office has been so helpful. They are quick to respond and look for ways to save me money on every policy.  They saved me $80 p/mo!

American Family Insurance Alan Sargent agency is amazing.  They handle all of my insurance needs very quickly and their prices cant be beat.  There is no cutting corners for their customers.
