Our mission is to preserve a clearly defined set of primary sources and rare books—reflecting the written, visual, and audio history of Wyoming, the Rocky Mountain region, and select aspects of the American past—and to make those sources accessible to all.

This is a great place to take your kids to learn about Wyoming history. It has an extensive library of documents from many periods of Wyoming. The documents I looked over were about the internment camps during WWII. There is also an extensive collection of Stan Lee's work. Original Comic books and art. This is the place to come if you're a marvel fan.

Always a very unique cultural experience, very knowledgeable staff, interesting exhibits, and a wealth of information on a diverse range of historical and artistic people and events.

Really a great resource with a big archive of papers and material about the west. Particularly the history of public land conservation in the West.

I know i'm old but didn't realize just *how* old 'til i toured this place. I'm so ancient i vividly recall the passion in my teacher's voice as she recounted the Teapot Dome scandal. Of course that was in the '20s; never mind!
