American Martial Arts is the best martial art school in the Alsip area. The opportunity to learn from a Grandmaster is priceless. The classes are family oriented and are structured for children all the way to adult. This school is truly a 5 STAR school!

I started with Master Yoon in the late eighties. I was in my 40s and I weighed 232 lbs. I will be 69 on the 20th of this month and I now weigh 140 lbs. and I'm a 4th degree black belt. I thought I was too old to take Martial arts but Master Yoon talked me into it and I have never regretted it. My husband and my son are black belts also . Master Yoon is an awesome person and instructor. Whether you want to lose weight or get into physical shape the self defense you will learn will be a plus. He also has 2 kids class (different ages) and the kids love it they think they are playing a game sometimes and they are really learning not just self defense but also discipline, respect for others and get physically in shape. I highly recommend taking a class, make it a family affair you won't regret it.

I have been a student of GrandMaster Yoon starting in the late 80's when he opened his first school in Mount Greenwood. We are so honored in Alsip to have him as our teacher at this humble school and location. I highly recommend you come to study with us. Many wonderful students will help the willing person to achieve great things under the direction of our teacher.

I'm a judo student at AMA and I enjoy the good working relationship that exists between fellow students. Egos are left at the door and Master Yoon puts us through a exhausting and productive workout on the mat.

Master Sung is like a father to me he has been my teacher for 17 years!! I am almost a master now. I hope to soon follow in his footsteps
