The place is low cost, and the hallways smell of smoke, but the staff is wonderful. The rooms are clean and well taken care of, and the location is great. I've tried a few hotels around town, and I love this one more than all of the others. For the money you pay, it's the best value. My biggest complaint with it is that, on a phone, the wifi gets spotty at times. It may be as simple a solution as asking them to reset the router, though.

Courteous, helpful. Great location from the main road into town and easy drive to the college. The facility shows its age but the staff works hard to see that comfort and services are not compromised. It's heavily if you travel on a budget as I do. It's more than good for a more than cheap admission. Special thanks to Michael at the desk for being a shining star at my 2am arrival. You were a blessing at the end of a very long day. Papa G.

The room was very clean and nice, it definitely exceeded our expectations for the price we paid. We checked in late at 11:30 pm, but the attendant was still cheerful, friendly and welcoming. We were extremely pleased with the entire experience.

Great price & I appreciated the extra amenities you get. (Microwave, fridge) Beds felt good, and it was clean. Staff was friendly. They have smoking rooms so I could smell some smoke entering the building, but not in my non-smoking room. Only drawback was ability to hear the upstairs people walking/thumping around.

I have been VERY impressed with this hotel. The family that owns it is VERY accommodating. They went out of their way to make me comfortable, and I saw them do the same for others. The room was MUCH better than I expected for what I was paying; I have got a lot less for a lot more. Don't expect to be staying at the Hilton, you're not, but expect to get more than you paid for. These people care, and it shows. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Lawrence.
