I've stayed at many hotels in MN, some newer, some bigger, some with more stars but none can compare to the AmericInn! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the AmericInn as well as the staff were both excellent! I have no complaints and cannot say enough about how great my stay was at the AmericInn. I first began searching for a room early in the morning as we had an emergency and needed a room as soon as possible. I called to make a reservation and needed a room that would also accommodate a dog. I had called several hotels before the AmericInn but none took pets and none cared about my emergency! I had a few accommodations I specifically needed as I needed a room that took animals and that we could immediately check-in too... The staff at AmericInn bent over backward to accommodate us and even invited us to come wait in the lobby until the room was available. The staff told us they would get the maids to clean our rooms immediately and then we could check in. True to their word, when we arrived an hour later at 11:00 a.m., our room was ready! The Hotel was in good repair, clean, and the beds and room were comfortably furnished. The lobby was lovely and the breakfast they served the next morning was great! The scrambled eggs were amazing! Usually when one receives a free breakfast at a hotel no one really "cooked" it and no one really takes responsibility for how the food tastes! Here, it was the exact opposite- the food was great! Coffee was excellent and it was served all day in the lobby which was nice! Everything about the AmericInn Lodge & Suites White Bear Lake was excellent.

My aunt passed away and I and my sister needed a place to stay 5/10/17 Wednesday evening. I had already called Best Western only to be told it was full to capacity. I called and informed the lady at the front desk that we were there to attend my aunt's wake and funeral, and she offered me a discounted "bereavement" rate. The service was above and beyond. The rooms were neat, clean, and nice to stay in. Breakfast from 5-10 was above average, with juices, tea, coffee, and about anything else you could imagine. You can make your own omelette or waffle. We never utilized the pool, but there is a coin op washer and dryer on the first floor for guests. The laundry room is well lit, and includes a security camera. I had my laundry done in one hour. If you are looking for somewhere friendly and clean to stay that doesn't charge an arm and leg, and where the staff will welcome you and treat you with respect, look to AmericInn.

Very nice rooms and good service, pretty good complimentary breakfast too

We were unable to check in early but also not able to check in ant the posted time of 3pm. The excuse was that they were full from the previous night. The room was satisfactory. The mattresses are firm. No view from the window.

I was glad this place was pet friendly. It was so clean, felt safe. Glad I stayed here.
