Ameringer | McEnery | Yohe is a contemporary art gallery located in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York, NY and has earned the reputation of being one of the leading art galleries in the world.
The gallery is the primary representative of 23 international contemporary artists and the estates of six artists including those of Hans Hofmann and Robert Motherwell.
The gallery’s principle focus is rooted in the modernist tradition with an emphasis on painting and drawing.
In addition to showing primary market works by contemporary artists, the gallery consistently mounts exhibitions by 20th century masters of historical importance.
Since its founding, the gallery has also specialized in the resale of select works of art from seminal Post-War and contemporary masters.
The gallery was founded by Will Ameringer, a former curator of the Baltimore Museum of Art and director of the André Emmerich Gallery. Ameringer was later joined by Miles McEnery and James Yohe.
In 2009, the gallery expanded from 20 West 57th Street to its current ground floor space located at 525 West 22nd Street affording the luxury of multiple exhibitions to be mounted simultaneously.
Ameringer | McEnery | Yohe was granted membership to the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) in 2001 and exhibits regularly at the ADAA Art Show.
As members of the ADAA, the gallery is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, scholarship, and connoisseurship.
Ameringer | McEnery | Yohe routinely publishes catalogues of a significant nature to accompany gallery exhibitions and has been instrumental in the publication of several major artist monographs as well as the organization of museum exhibitions.
The gallery was proud to be selected for inclusion in the inaugural installment of Art Basel Miami Beach and has exhibited annually since its inception.
