Have had several insurance companies in the past, and seen the experiences that others have had recently with their so-called top-of-the-line insurance companies.  Amica simply can't be beat.  For service, claims and cost.  

I've been with them since the mid 1970s when I bought a new sports car that other insurance companies I contacted then refused to insure without an exorbitant premium payment.   Amica's premium was the same as it would have been for a normal family car. They paid fully for it one year later when I totaled it.
 
Those complaints in the reviews most likely have problems that prevent them from getting any insurance elsewhere for less.  Those complaining about cost do not mention the 20--25% cash rebate you get on every anniversary date with Amica that reduces your cost considerably. Not to mention the considerable number of discounts they offer that also reduce the cost. Just have to ask them what discounts they offer.

As one other reviewer mentioned, when I mention to other insurance companies that I have Amica, they simply state that they are unable to beat the price without even asking me any more questions.   

Best insurance company ever...others could learn from them.

Switched to Amica last year after hearing positive reviews and receiving what I thought were honest and fair quotes.  One year later I receive a note saying I would be surcharged an additional $375 for three years do to a traffic violation I recieved more than six months prior to switching to Amica.  I told the agent about this violation and she quoted my policy without it but added it on after I paid quoted premium.  Very unfair and dishonest.  Luckly I shopped for a new policy today and will leave Amica before they get my renewal.  By the way I saved over $1000 switching to another company.  I saved $800 on autos and $200 on my homeowners and unbrella.  So maybe the bogus surcharge was a good thing It made my reshop my rates.  One traffic violation in 17 years and the surcharge me $375 for three years?  BEWARE!

This is THE best home, auto, boat, RV, etc. insurance company out there period. I too have been with Amica for many years, 40+ and have never once had anything less than a very fast, professional and courteous response.

I've had them for 25 years, absolutely no problems, great service, fair prices.  In fact, other "we can save you money" callers, after hearing I have Amica advise me that they probably can't give me a better deal.

I have been insured by Amica for over 35 years for Auto and home. I have never experienced any difficulty making claims for either home (built in 1890) or auto. During those years my family has experienced a home fire and tree damage. Auto coverage included four deer accidents, one horse and several other vehicle collisions. Insurance rates have remained favorable. I recommend Amica to friends and family when asked about my coverage.
