Story

GREAT FOOD! Mexican & American

Amigo Cafe started (spicing) in 1983 when Richard & Esther Martinez fulfilled their dream of sharing their family
recipes with the world. Prior to opening Amigo Cafe, the Martinez family recipes were only available at the
family dinner table. All of Amigo Cafe’s mexican food is homemade from scratch using finest quality ingredients.

In 1999, the Martinez’s decided it was time to retire.. The Price Family loved Amigo Cafe’s food and wanted to keep
the Amigo tradition alive. The Price family now own and operate the restaurant. They have kept true to
the Martinez Family recipes and traditions.

Amigo Cafe has been written about in many publications including Cowboys and Indians, News from Indian
Country, and many foreign travel guides. It was awarded and mentioned in 100 Best Restaurants in Arizona
by John Bogert..

We spent the night nearby and came here for dinner based on the reviews of others. We were not disappointed: the food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. The fry bread is, of course, delicious.

Small, friendly environment with very personable service. I just ate a regular burrito. The refried beans were amazing. It was all very simple but tasty. They don't serve alcohol, but I did not miss it. I would go back anytime.

Excellent food. We had the pork posole/fry bread and Chile rellano entres and they were prepared as Continental Mexican Cuisine, except for the fry bread which is native in Arizona and New Mexico. It was delicious!

Clean, wonderful service, excellent food. The fry bread was the best I've ever eaten anywhere. An oasis in the desert.
