This is my dad's favorite Sunday brunch spot for chilaquiles. I decided to bring my friend to try. They never disappoint. I haven't found café de holla this delicious anywhere else
Red Chilaquiles delicious with a kick! banana foster French Toast super delicious the flavor is out of here! Cafe de olla is also bomb! Don’t leave without a mimosa!
Very friendly staff. Excellent mexican food. The best mexican coffee in town. The coconut flan is a must! Vegetarian options: They have a few good options. Kid-friendliness: It's a small intimate space but kid friendly Parking: Plenty of parking
I've been coming to this place for years but this might be my last visit. Not sure if the recipes are different or they got a different cook but things simply don't taste the same. Even back then the food was sometimes good and sometimes not as much. This time though, i didn't even finish my plate. Two other people in my party echo the same sentiment, our tampiqueña was below subpar. The meat was chewy, flavorless and full of nerves. Didn't bother finishing my steak and i actually spat out two pieces. The enchilada gets worse every time i order this dish. Might as well call it a taco with a spray of salsa on top. Server forgot to bring us steak knives, never asked us what tortillas we wanted for our plates and actually challenged my party when we said he didn't bring the right kind. Also not a fan of them taking away refills for their drinks. You'd think they'd throw us a bone with the prices they charge for their food. They've also begun charging for their chips and salsa. Lastly they no longer play old, classical music here. I used to love the ambience but they were blasting regueton, which was definitely a mood killer. Anyways, every time we come here we say "let's give them a few months then come back and see if they improved". I don't think I'm going to bother anymore.
It was FANTASTIC! truthfully it was amazing. The food , atmosphere, most of all the service to the clients. They were very attentive and extremely polite. Defenitly a must if your in orange county and looking for a comfortable place to dine with either alone or with family.
The restaurant was understaffed: one waiter and one bus boy. Only 3 tables occupied yet the kitchen and waiter were slow. Owner stock napkins etc. and made no attempt to check on the diners. When we finally wanted the checked we waited nearly 25 minutes while the waiter and owner tried to get there new system to simply split a check in two. Service has been deteriorating but the food is excellent. The service shortcomings now out weigh the excellent food. To much of a hassle.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. When I had just moved to SoCal, I was looking for a good Mexican restaurant, and finally I met Amorelia. They recently increased their prices and removed the refill coffee from menu , bad news for their regular customers.
A cozy, family owned gourmet Latin restaurant. Candle lights and nice background music. This is a hidden gem in an unlikely location, hidden in a strip center. All of their food that I have tried was worth repeat visits .Food: 5/5
Really yummy food and always friendly service! A little pricier than some Mexican food, but you'll find the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Not your standard Socal Mexican food anyways - a notch above. Flavorful and traditional dishes. My favorite is the La Tampiquenia!
They charge you $5 for each basket of chips you get. the food was decent quality but the portions were very small, not worth the price. They are straight scamming people on the $5 per basket of chips though.Food: 2/5
