Employee Kathy is so unnecessarily rude. Felt like I was in court being interrogated why I waited so long to cash money orders my child's father gave me, explained I misplaced them in a wallet and then she wanted to know why he gave me them. I thought I was on an episode of punked that's how uncomfortable it was. Not to mention she made sure to move like a snail and take a half hour to cash two $200 money orders you would think it was a money order for $200,000.

Be careful to count your money before handing it to the rep. I made this mistake and now I'm out money. A nice Lady was working by herself one morning and I handed her 300 untouched bills from the atm to her plus a 20 from my wallet. She said i was short money and made me feel it was a discrepancy on my end or with the atm but I'm getting a subpoena to pull cameras because I don't see how money can just disappear into thin air! I disputed it with the atm they said it wasnt their error. The lady was very nice but I don't  know her so therefore I don't trust ANYONE I don't know. At least I can have peace of mind if they pull the footage even if she did not pocket it. And yes...you have to go through the police in order for them to pull their video footage! Ridiculous!

I went there on my 30 minute lunch break today. I was told to come up to the window and someone would be right with me. there were 3 other people there at that time. Two people walked in after me and both were helped before me. I was finally asked after this, what I was there for. (Mind you, I have never needed to use Amscot before, I just happened to run out of checks).  I offered my debit card as payment for the money order, and was told they only accept cash. I had been waiting 15 minutes at this point and had to leave to get back to work on time. I was not very happy to have had to wait that long only to be told they only accept cash. (No electronic fund transfers from debit cards, really?)

Yolanda an amscot employee called me about paying back a cash advance and I told my girlfriend sitting next to me that amscot is calling me again after I told them I'm waiting on a money order replacement from amscot. She had the audacity to interrupt me and say "no you didn't I don't see anything on here" and "you still need to pay it" like I didn't know that already. Yolanda has a bad attitude and should reconsider her position working in customer service because she clearly can't control her nasty attitude and smart mouth. She also shouldn't hang up on customers after they get angry because she's getting rude with them. She told me she needed to help her customer and I replied with "am I not a customer?" as she hung up. And get this I was trying to talk to someone above her about her unprofessional behavior. When I called again TWICE I was hung up on before I could even say anything. Yolanda reflects poorly on this company and I'd be embarrassed to have someone like her work for me. I have never been treated like that before and I have submitted a complaint to the BBB about Yolanda. I hope in the future they do better on hiring more appropriate employees than someone like her.

The service is great. Friendly faces and willing to help. Is a clean looking place. I saw a customer been extremly rude to the manager, but at least the supervisor dealt with the customer at best.  I gave 4 stars because there parking space is a bit small and we drive a minivan.
