My husband and I were out to celebrate an evening together before he left the country for work, and decided to try out the Amsterdam Lounge. From the outside it looked nice and the layout inside was great. There was a paint and sip class going on in the backroom, and there were only two or three other patrons there. It was a very quiet Thursday evening, around 7 PM. 

The food menu was small, but looked appetizing so we ordered our drinks and some food to share. I ordered a sampler, and my husband ordered the Asian platter. The service was a bit slow for the amount of people, but since we weren't in a hurry we didn't mind waiting.

The food presentation was nice and simple, but the satay chicken was not cooked through. Unfortunately both my husband and I took a bite before realizing it. The meat was still cool and pink. When we showed the raw chicken to our server he took them back to be cooked more, but ended up bringing out new ones. (I'd pretty much lost my appetite at that point.)

I don't know if it was from eating raw chicken or something else we were served, but both of us ended up with stomach problems that I won't go into detail about. We didn't ask to be comped anything on the bill, nor was it offered, but I am very leery about coming back to the Amsterdam Lounge. Maybe try it, if you're only going for drinks, but I wouldn't risk the food.

Good place, good cocktails. They don’t know how to serve a Guinness but usually a fun place to hang out.

My first time here. The service seems to be hit and miss. The beer selection could be better. They do have 208 though and alot of places in town don't carry it. Kinda seems like a glamorized version of what the bistro was but we'll see how it goes.
