This is the place I recommend to everyone that visits the twin ports area. The Anchor is an institution here! The burgers are consistently great, and it's easy for two people to get out of there under $20! The atmosphere is cozy and tables are limited (especially when the patio is closed in winter), so get there a little early for the dinner rush. The staff have a reputation for being gruff and that's definitely as much of the charm as the eclectic nautical decor is. I've made a ton of great memories there! There's probably as much history on the walls at The Anchor as the maritime museum in Canal Park!

Best bar in the history of mankind. This place is literally so authentic it will surprise you. It is kind of a hole in the wall bar but the staff and food here are second to none. You can get a pitcher of beer for 4 dollars. I would recommend no other place to go. You need to experience this bar.

Anchor Bar is a local bar and grill in the dive bar tradition. Locals clearly like this place, as it was full when arrived and full when we left. It's burger main plate fare is excellent, juicy and homemade. For just 4.75 a juicy massive cheeseburger is made to order. My own plate of 2/3 Lb double "Anchor Burger" was just 6.75 and included a huge side of fresh cut fries. The food was as billed by the locals.. excellent. The staff was billed as intentionally grumpy, but I found them friendly enough, though so overloaded they certainly didn't dote on your table. This was expected and you just need to get a bit of east coast attitude to ask for things appropriately :). Overall, it's not the best burger I've ever had, but it ranks up in the top. A local charm worth a visit for sure.

If you have one meal in Superior, stop into this joint! There's a burger on the menu for every taste. I'm never disappointed with anything I order. Anchor Bar should definitely be on everyone's bucket list.

Was in town on business and I asked a local where to get a burger and beer at. Well they told me that there was only one place for that and it was Anchor Bar & Grill. So I try it and it was fantastic. Best burger I have had in a long time. It was cooked just right and they even toasted the buns, And the price is right.
