Our most favorite campground EVER! This place is fabulous. We watched whales every night and our neighbor shared his caught crab with us. The showers were hot and wonderful on a very cold night. The beach is wonderful. Very pet friendly. I hope we can come back one day!

I was only there for one night, but it was awesome! Private beach with great views. Hot showers that lasted more the 5 seconds. And the people were great. Both the other campers and the hostess. Very family and pet friendly. Until 5 you can purchase most necessary items from the office, otherwise its a short uphill walk to the little country store. Will be back!!

Good location and the beach is an easy walk. Really really busy on the weekends. Road noise is a littl much on the weekends as well. Staff is great and very helpful.

Where to begin? A lovely spot on earth interrupted by what must be "greedy owners". Allowing RV's to camp at the beach blocking views to the ocean, allowing generators to run all night (the rules said may be used until 5PM) and lastly jamming the RV's so closely together. What a shame. Thankfully our neighbor campers were friendly and the employees were very helpful and nice. They also did a good job of raking and cleaning the sites.

The most unkind host I ever met along the coast! When I stopped to check the place - difficult to imagine to like it after experiencing chunky RV's parked site by site without any space around...Here she came immediately and asked quite offensive what I wanted. She showed me the price lists and plan of available spots. I went to check the sites - starting at $42 the most inexpensive!!! - showers exclusive!!! - How can this be a place to enjoy? One spot beside the next, no privacy, you can't see the ocean because those few sites are all blocked by RV's, which you have to cross to get down to the beach...almost walking through others sleeping room! Walking back I shortly stopped to check my phone and : Now she offended again telling me me to book a site or to leave in a moment - if not, I would have to pay a day use ticket. No reason to stay any moment longer! Instead I found a nice and beautiful Sea Cliff Motel not far from there South - it's worth its price, ocean-view even sitting in your bathtub! great organic food restaurant/café on site! I feel lucky that I smelled the weird energy at the Anchor Bay Campground from the first moment! People might love the beach, but there are so many beautiful places without bad people bothering you along the CA coast!
