Ive used them off and on for years. My opinion is they do the best they can. That looks like a hard job for people who love animals. They have always answered any questions I have had. Yes I had to wait a little bit, but for the cost and knowing the staff are animal lovers and that is why they are there. The only reason I give them a 4 instead of a 5 is because of how long you have to wait. It is a good place to go. I will continue to take mine there.

It's a great place to get your animals spayed or neutered. They offer other veterinarian care too. They stay very busy.

This place is not well organized, they called me continuously to add on more fees (although they did remove some after I complained about it), tried to charge for a rabies vaccine that was not needed, took my dog to get spayed and she came home with her stomach covered in blood. I did not receive any followup instructions but, will be taking my pets to a different vets office from now on regardless.

I feel like most of the negative reviews that I read are about either the cost, or the wait time. Let me just say, that if you expect the entire procedure (neuter or spay) to actually only cost $56, yes you will be disappointed. The prices they have on the website are the BASE prices, but like any other procedure, there are things that are needed during and after that are going to add to the cost. The two add ons that people seem to be complaining about in these reviews are the blood test and the IV line. They will encourage you to add BOTH of these, as they are both important. The blood test is to make sure that your animal does not have any conditions that may affect the Anastasia, and the IV is to make sure your animal stays hydrated during and after the procedure. I suspect that the negative review complaining about how their dog became dehydrated afterwards was due to the fact that the owner did not want to spend an extra 20 bucks to get the IV line put in during the procedure. I suggest getting both the IV line and the blood test. Yes, it will add on an extra 30-50 dollars to the cost (depending on your animal's weight), but it makes the recovery process for your animal a lot easier, faster, and lessens the chance of anything happening during the procedure. I would say that with the IV line, pre surgery blood test, and pain medications to take home, you can expect the entire thing to cost just under, or just over $100, depending on the size of your animal. If you are not prepared to spend a little more in order to make sure your animal has a smooth, safe procedure and recovery, then do the surgery at a later date after saving up more money, or perhaps don't get an animal in the first place. I took my pup in at around 9:00 am. We were told to take a number and fill out the form while waiting. The total time we waited was about 20min before our number was called. Not bad at all in my opinion. The total cost of my dog's neuter was $249, and I'll explain why. First off, because I wanted to ensure my dog's health and safety, I did in fact opt to add on the pre surgery blood test, and the during surgery IV. Like I stated earlier, that adds around $30-$50 to the cost. I also had my dog checked for heartworm. That added another $30 to the cost, but is definitely something I personally chose to get done (he had not been checked in a while and I said might as well while I was there), and is not needed at all, so you don't have to worry about that. The cone and after surgery pain meds add another $30-$40 to the overall cost. So with all of those (excluding the extra heartworm test I did), the cost would have been around $110 which I think is what you can realistically expect to spend if you do not have any type of voucher or anything (perhaps a little more if you have a large dog). The reason my specific price ended up being so much higher is because during surgery, they discovered that one of my dogs testicals had not dropped all the way (even though he is fully grown, 1 yrs old) This is a condition that affects some dogs, but isn't very common. They called us and told us that in order to get the other one, they would have to go in to the abdomen and find it. That was an entirely other procedure itself, so that obviously added to the cost. But like I said, that is a very rare thing, that you can expect to probably not have to deal with :) The day after the procedure, they called and asked how my dog was doing and if he was eating and drinking. I thought that was a nice gesture, as I was not expecting them to call and check up on him! It has been three days since my dog's surgery. The first day we brought him home he was definitely in some pain for the first 24 hours. But today it seems as if he's already back to his normal happy self, eating and drinking fine, and the incision/stitches on his sack and on his abdomen seem to be healing very nicely. If I ever got another dog, I would not hesitate to take them here, as my overall experience with this place was relatively fast, easy, and my dog is doing great

I've taken our pets to Animal Aid since 1990 and am so thankful for their entire staff! They have so many animals and people to work with and keep their professionalism and patience at an amazing level! They work with you if you're not able to pay all at once. My current dog has diabetes and they are the ones who were able to determine this and keep her stable. Thank you, Animal Aid!!!
