I am absolutely impressed by everyone here, they are all good & amazing people. I have a 8 & 1/2 year old chihuahua who generally doesn't like many other people. She met them all at Animal Med center of Dubois, the Vet & his staff immediately made Iggy more comfortable & helped to calm her nervousness. They pet her, consoled & plied her with treats to her joy. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of the very best veterinarian in southern Indiana.(Update) Her surgery went well a few weeks later and she's now on the mend & doing great. Everyone at this office went above and beyond.

Dr. Mehringer has been our pet's doctor since we arrived back home 5 years ago. Today we lost our beloved Japanese Mastiff, Beauregard Parrish. She took excellent care of him to the very end. Her compassion and calm demeanor in the face of severe adversity were comforting. I would recommend her every time, if asked. Amy and I are grateful for all that she has done for our family.

I am very disappointed with this vet. I had an appointment at the end of last month. I brought in two cats, one is over weight (the vet did not suggest any ways to improve his diet). He also did not mention the fleas on my youngest cat. Nor did the nurses. He did not prescribe any medication for the fleas. No offer was made to have blood drawn for my cats to make sure they don't have any worms or iner infections, he only looked at their ears and listened to their hearts. Nothing was said about the goop in my oldest cats eyes and no prescription was given to help improve it. I came to the vet to help improve my animals health. All this was was a big, expensive joke! The doctor did not inform me of anything. He gave each cat 3 shots, none of which were to help make my cats healthier with basic issues. I had to ask what the shots were. I bet nobody would have told me if I didn't ask. I was not asked before hand if I wanted these shots for them, which is absolutely unexcptable! Then the doctor proceeded to give my cats medine for hairballs and fungal infection. All before asking me! In the end I was stuck with a large bill of $211. You don't not give someone a chance to say if they do or don't want something given to their babies. I feel like nothing was done. Clearly my youngest cat's first appointment needed specific attention, attention that was not given by this vet. I'll definitely never go back. (My youngest cat is 7 months, my oldest is 5-6 years old)

The people who work here are warm and kind. Both the veternarians, Dr. Mehringer and Dr. Johnson, are the best. Wouldn't take our Teddy anywhere else!
