Stopped in for breakfast on a weekday… They were moderately busy, with mostly carry-out, but there were several tables sat inside. Tried their machaca murrito as a plate, with gravy on top and it was excellent! Freshly made!! Their coffee is decent too. And their service was nice as well. Definitely would return!
I've been here several times in the past. It was always hit or miss if they got the order correct. This time, the order was correct. The food came out hot and fresh. The waiter was polite and answered any questions that I had. The waiter also came by often and checked on me. I would most definitely recommend coming to Anita's restaurant for breakfast. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant has a kids' menu.
Delicious!!! From the moment we walked in, Michelle was so welcoming. We were so lucky to have her serve us. If you want to taste New Mexico on the East Coast, try Anita's. It's our second time there, and it was just as delicious. My only regret is that I forgot about ordering the Sopapillas. Thank you, Michelle, for being a wonderful server. Anita's you have to try their food!!
Food is awesome, cheap too. Would definitely recommendFood: 5/5
Kid-Approved! My son enjoyed Anita‘s through the school lunch program. He raves about it. That’s what drew us in the door. I enjoyed the red chili marinated Mexican sausage burrito smothered with green chili sauce. It was absolutely amazing! The kids enjoyed the french fries and one actually said that Anita’s has the best French fries she’s ever tasted. The taco salad chicken was also a hit.
Good food and service. We tried empanadas, enchiladas, and tacos. Everything tasted great. Churro ice cream and flan were great.Food: 4/5
No frills here! Parking is plentiful, a little tricky getting in and out, but nicely located next to a main road. The atmosphere is so so. The staff is friendly and knows their menu well and can offer suggestions. The meal I ordered was delicious, hot and fresh. Food is priced for the location, the drinks are a bit pricey though. What this place lacks in ambiance is made up for in food quality and service. It's definitely worth a stop in.
Let me start by saying I was born and raised in New Mexico. So clearly, I know good New Mexican cuisine. And there's various types of "New Mexican" food. Some of the food is influenced by the Spanish, while another by local indian tribes, and some from Mexico. We drove more than an hour to get to this restaurant, and we weren't expecting much as it's so far from New Mexico. Boy, were we in for a surprise. My wife had the chili relleno, and I had the carne adovada. Both were outstanding! We also shared a cup of green chili stew and the red chili pazole. Again, both were simply delicious. They even came with a sopapilla! We saved those for after dinner and ate them with honey and cinnamon mixed with sugar. Wow! The service was great and everyone was very friendly. For those complaining about the salsa that comes with the chips, we thought it was wonderful. Just like back in New Mexico! This isn't Mexican food, or TexMex. So if you're looking for those flavors, try the Mexican restaurant across the street. It's the one with no cars in the parking lot.
4 out of 5 stars +3 stars - awesome breakfast burritos I love the breakfast burritos even at dinner... especially the picante sauce which I ask for extra that comes with it! I call ahead and they are usually ready in 5-minutes unless they are jammed. 0 star - for phone system However, the phone system really reduces the service friendliness. I used to be able to call and place an order. But, now I have to go through a phone system to place the call. +1 star - automatically given
We have been loyal customers for 30 years. Today we were overcharged. The Leesburg store manager refused to listen. We paid the overcharged bill, still left 20%, but will never go back.Food: 3/5
