Open area great to run and play. With great pond for swimming in the summer. Provides doggy bags and a trash. In the summer also provides a water fountain for thirsty pups. Wish there was a dog park on the north side of ankeny.

Was a nice and open place for the pup to run around in. Friendly people and other dogs in a very nice neighborhood. Would have been 5 starts but there was way to much poo on the ground when the park offers free poo bags to pick it up with. You are required to have a permit to go there though, but the locals said it's ok to take a tour so we did.

Great park..!!

People please purchase your dog park tags before you come.

You can purchase a tag from hyvee , that helps keep it nice and the people are usually legit dog people..

Kids under 10 not allowed for safety reasons , which makes sense to me.. The dogs can really get running around ! 

This is a great park for legit dog people, follow the rules or don't come in... :)

Great dog park! It has two areas, one for small dogs and one for large which is a huge benefit for all. It has a pond (fenced off so your dog can't just wonder into it) for swimming, but it does get pretty messy later in the season. Generally very clean and there are almost always a few dogs (and owners) around for your little buddy to play with. The big dog section has a nice trail that you can walk around which is super nice.
The park has water available for dogs, bags to clean up after your dog (and a place to dispose of them) are also provided.

My dogs love going here! There are two separate spaces for large and small dogs. The large dog area has a fenced off swimming pond.
