A Jewish congregation affiliated with the Reconstructionist movement that seeks to create an active, engaged community.
We are a community of people who want to study and practice Judaism. Our culture encourages an open minded approach to Judaism. A core tenet of Reconstructionism is that “the past has a vote, not a veto.” AARC members actively explore and debate Jewish beliefs and practices, balancing a respect for traditional Jewish teachings with the responsibility to interpret them in the light of our contemporary values.
Our membership is diverse and inclusive. We are families and individuals, LGBT and straight, Jews by birth and Jews by choice, as well as families with non-Jewish members. Our services are egalitarian and pluralistic, our events accessible to people with disabilities.
