RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!  I recently spent 10 weeks in the Biloxi/Gulfport area and visited many, if not all of the antique stores nearby.  I arrived early in Bay St. Louis on a Saturday and waited well over an hour for this shop to open as I was consumed with the thrill of the hunt.  I am aware of the rules of the game, and I never try to buy an item at an unfair price.  However, asking if the prices are negotiable is permitted.  An elderly woman with a lot of spunk and no salesmanship very rudely told me that haggling for items that were under twenty dollars was never accepted.  Her point well conveyed using a high-pitched tone, but in an effort to assert herself she was downright rude with me. 
After about an hour in her shop, I am ready to take my selections to the counter.  I ask her to show me a piece in a glass case in one of the rooms towards the back.  Again, with a high-pitched tone and mean demeanor, she asks me for the number of the glass case.  I tell her I didn’t know they were numbered.  While ranting and raving she tries to educate me regarding the numbering system on her glass cases.  I try to tell her that I am just a tourist, I don’t care to learn her system.  I just want to make a purchase.  She opens the glass case and informs me that she does not want to dig through all the items, if I am not serious about buying.  At that point, I have enough of her, and inform her that I don’t need to see any further.  I pay for what I have on the counter and leave.  In another nearby shop, two ladies approach me, informing me that the lady at the Antique Maison was extremely rude to me.  They also felt uncomfortable with her demeanor and left her store.  RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!

What an awesome place full of fabulous antiques. There are many different dealers here and the selection of items is incredible. There is something for everyone!  I highly recommend a visit to this store! I can't wait to go back and see the treasures I will find!

I really like Antique Maison at this location. There is always a danger that I'll spend more than I budgeted because the selection and quality of items is great.

Everyone in the store where so helpful.. we had to look all over the mall. My man friend and I even found a treasure. Nice shop I will visit again.
