Brandon and the team at the Shelton cemetery was great. They were very well prepared and professional. They were very patient and allowed our family to gather together before and after the graveside service. I truly appreciate the time, efforts & support that they displayed throughout the process of working together in preparation for the entry and service. I would highly recommend Brandon and his team!

My mom passed away in October. I chose to use Apfel Funeral Home because my mom wanted to be buried in Wood River, NE and it was the same funeral home used for my grandma. I’m glad I chose Apfel because they were patient and kind throughout the process and worked with me financially.

Chris at Apfel was very helpful actually came to our house to help use arrange for our daughters remains to be sent to us, she passed out of state living by herself and we didn’t have a clue how to proceed. Chris made all the arrangements and was very caring and attentive.

My 61 year old sister died in the middle of the night. An amazing young man in a suit  from Apfel Funeral Home with a very tender heart came to the nursing home to pick her up. He let me help place her on the gurney and walk down the hall to the van  with my hand on her head. It meant the world to me to hand her over to such an incredible compassionate tender young man who worked with Apfel funeral business! Our  experience with burying  my young sister was less painful having gone through Apfel funeral home.

I'm trying to find the words that adequately express my deep appreciation for the help and guidance that Apfel Funeral Home,  Grand Island , Nebraska recently gave me with arrangements for a death in my family.  I live in New Jersey and they guided  me through the cremation and the Memorial service.  In addition, they gave me invaluable information on applying to FEMA as it was a covid death and waited patiently  for their payment.  Brandon and Chris and the entire staff were patient, kind and caring in walking me through this very difficult, stressful time.   In addition, and the most endearing, they contacted me to see how I was doing and feeling.  I highly recommend Apfel Funeral Home and if I could give 10 stars I would.

Planning funerals isn't very easy. They are very kind and care. They walked us thru all the details. Didn't try to get us to buy things we didn't need, felt like we were friends not clients. This is the 7th time we've used there services. Love this place.

Brandon spoke with me and I let him know what and how my grandmother wanted things done. He then let's me pay for her funeral then asks me not to come! He let my grandmother's children, who claimed their mother died years ago, take over and change things up....and he called it giving her the most peaceful sendoff. Sad that people will claim while someone is living that they are dead, but in death that person is #1. Brandon got played, then screwed a person over to offer a "free recording " of the service that I will probably never see. If he looked at my grandmother's will, the ones that treated my grandmother terrible in life, not only were they excluded from her will, so were their heirs. Good job at the best sendoff Brandon....you have her rolling!

Professional, courteous and Caring.  Three words that I would use to describe the services that I have had for both my Mother and Brother.  Both times they were genuine and professional in all aspects of performing their profession.  I would utilize their services again.

There were help my boyfriend if it wasn't for them I wouldn't know what to do cremation was the best option
