We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our time here! My mom, fiancé, and I sat for an afternoon high tea and took delight in a couple of teas, a latte, and, of course, tiers of delectable foods. The owners were incredibly kind and took pleasure in serving & talking with us. It was an all-around comforting atmosphere with no pressure to dress & behave a certain way in order to enjoy the finest beverage known to man with finger foods. We wish this place was closer to home for us, but when Charleston crosses our path again, we will certainly come back here again!

Hidden gem in Charleston! The service was really good, the pastries and tea sandwiches were extremely fresh and delicious. We had the Darjeeling tea and house chai. Both were really good. Loved the soft gingerbread cookies. We will definitely be back :Recommended dishesRed Pepper Jelly Sandwiches

you want a coffee that will wake up your ancestors the ems is for you!!!! great selection of teas and coffee dine in or carry out. also sell teas to take home and brew. desserts you cant go wrong with the cardimon cake!! nice place to get a cup of tea or coffee and sit and read a good book the6 have a nice selction of bpoks as well that you can buy or read while your here.

Such a wonderful addition to Elk City and Charleston, WV as a whole!! Great selection of teas and the treats to eat are absolutely fantastic!! Original flavors that are a true experience! Love the ambience & the proprietors!! The tea trays are always so fun, and so scrumptious. They continue to be very conscientious about health safety.  Vegetarian options: They have vegan options, and gluten free.  Parking: On-street parking right out front

We've gotten several of the tea trays offered from here on special occasions and holidays, and they've always been great combinations of items, all well made. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and there are plenty of options for fresh made tea.

I love tea and I’m so excited that we finally have a place where you can get it freshly brewed from tea leaves. There are many flavors,white, green,a assortment of others and you can even smell them before you order. This unique business is in a old charleston home that has been slightly renovated and reminds me of my great grandmothers house. There is a downstairs with tables and chairs,a upstairs that has A library with sitting room and you can choose either place to have your tea. I chose a green tea and a scone and both were delicious. What a wonderful addition to Charleston.

Delicious coffee and tea. Best orange cardamom cake I have ever had. The quality of the coffees and teas show. It was such a treat to see many rare coffees and teas as well and try some of them. Very friendly owners. I really wish we had this gem near us.Food: 5/5

This is a very special place!  Russ and Sasha were delightful hosts and the tea and scones were amazing!  We had an extra special treat with the Sumiyaki coffee from Japan made table side.  It is a must have!

I adore this place! Wonderful & welcoming vibes, not to mention superb drinks. Regulars become designated "taste-testers" of fabulous new concoctions such as this iced pumpkin latte IN A PUMPKIN ...which was absolutely heavenly.Food: 5/5

Such a lovely place to spend an afternoon with friends! We enjoyed drinking tea and playing board games. The Appalachian tea room had a large selection of different teas and made-from-scratch pastries. Also, if you need a quiet place to read or do work, they've got a nice upstairs sitting area with a large picture window. Look forward to coming back!
