Asked the guys when they think theyd be done all they are doing is the trim whats left on the floor and told me he had no idea... really no idea when all thats done is the trim yeah right i have places to go today and have to pick up my husband from work and all i need is a time frame when i can do that... also the whole time they were working on the floor no one called to say when they be over they just show up whenever so id be waiting all day stuck at the house... do not hire these people they have horrible work ethics and poor customer service skills. And you think since theres two guys working on the tiny bathroom trim things would be done twice as fast... nope, apparently they have no idea.

Jim Barrier is a at most a fraud and con man. I worked with his company for nearly a year and almost all the employees were scared to speak up to him for fear of retribution. As a "joke" if you did anything wrong he'd tell you to get under his desk(to make it right). He's a sick, perverted man. Before you consider hiring this company do your research. They're a lot of deserving/respectful companies you'd be better off with.

I had Mr. Barrier come out to quote me on a leak that was causing my hardwood floors in front of my kitchen to warp. He came out and said he didn't see any water under my sink and to email him if I saw water. A week later and the floors getting worse so I call him back. He sends his plumber, Paul (who is awesome, btw), to the wrong house. Paul comes out the next day and fixes a burst pipe (which had continued to leak since Mr. Barrier "didn't see water") and a leaky bathtub faucet. A few months later my other bathtub faucet is leaking so I call back. His receptionist could not give me a time on when they would be able to make it out. I was pleased with Paul's service so I figured I could wait. I had initially called on a Monday; I called back Tuesday and his receptionist still couldn't give me even a ballpark time. Just stating that they were very busy. I called back on Thursday, his receptionist said that Paul tried to call me yesterday to come out to fix it on Wednesday. Well, this time they called the wrong number. So finally Paul comes and fixes it the next day. I receive my invoice and it's more than the first invoice so I email Mr. Barrier asking him why since only a leaky faucet was fixed this time. He emailed me back saying it was because it took 2 hours of labor since the screws were stuck. I emailed back stating it did not take 2 hours it only took 1 hour but that I would send the payment and hesitate to use or refer him in the future. He replied,"ok", and then he sent another email stating, "Service people charge for travel as you will find out thanks". Well, was I not charged for travel time the first time? And why not put this in your explanation of charges when I asked? Thanks, but no thanks, Mr. Barrier, I don't need nor appreciate your snide comments. I'd rather pay these other service people for their travel time.

I called Jim on Thursday afternoon to quote a new attic access wide enough to install a new a/c unit. He said he could look at it on Friday but never showed up. I called him back and he showed up on Saturday and quoted us $250-$375. I called him on Monday morning to schedule the work for that week. He said that he would write my job down and get back with me. On Wednesday morning, I called to ask him again. He said he was too busy, didn't want it, and rudely hung up on me in a middle of a sentence. Very unprofessional. Now, one week later, I am still w/o an access for the new air-conditioner because of Jim's non-responsiveness and then deciding not to take the job. He didn't seem to care. If he is this bad with just estimates, I would hate to think about the responsiveness, quality, and unprofessionalism of an actual job. Never again.

Jim Barrier is a great guy and an honest businessman, I would trust him with any project I brought to him.
