I ate here for dinner the other afternoon and I got seated pretty quick and then greeted by my server soon after. She was nice but she was out of sight most of the time so when my appetizer came out boneless wings and I had no fork I had to eat them with my fingers and I also had no napkins to wipe them off with for awhile. When she did finally come over I asked for silverware and napkins and she got them pretty quickly. She refilled my drink once and I ended up just taking it to go. It took 40+ minutes for the food to come out and I was trying my hardest not to eat all my wings because I know I would be full. It sucked because I saw someone come in a while after me and they got their food before me. When I finally did get my food it was okay and I ate it all. The table was clean and the restaurant was quiet so I enjoyed myself while I waited. Parking: Big parking lot Kid-friendliness: High chairs, kids menus
It's a chain family restaurant, not bad but not great. This particular restaurant was actually quite clean and I will say that the bathrooms are actually very clean. The food was perfectly fine. My fries came out a little cold and my wife got the fiesta lime chicken and turned out the rice was actually very hard and the chicken was potentially undercooked. Otherwise the burger I got was quite good, my mom got their steak and it was tender and a good medium doneness. The chicken and shrimp platter was very good and the the chicken was perfectly cooked actually.
Went to this beautiful place. Table was delivered 1 to 2 seconds faster than usual. Staff is very professional. Server was spot-on and had it right when asked about the chocolate milkshake drink and how the burger was prepared: well-done. There was absolutely no pink on the burger. No amount of pink. Fries were super-wonderful. Server wasted zero time making the chocolate milkshake. Both the food and the drink was all done in perfect timing.
Usually always good! Last experience was pretty good but waited a little long for a waiter. Food was really good!Food: 5/5
I went to Applebee's and apparently there was only one who could make drinks so we sat for 20 we started a timer minutes for two drinks. The door dash people was getting their orders quickly and timely manner. We never order no food due to this .Food: 5/5
This is for the Willoughby location. Although the Mentor one is just as bad. Worked at both for a long time. They just changed over all management and not for the better. Cooks are underpaid and don’t care about the food. More microwaves on the line then grill. Lol. For the price the food isn’t worth it. I honestly wouldn’t let my people eat there because I was embarrased by it. Trust me…go elsewhere. In general this is how the nooks and crannies of the kitchen look. Drinks barely have any alcohol and are overpriced. If it isn’t dollar margarita don’t waste your money. Dont’t be fooled by positive reviews. Most are company plants or employees friends and family who didn’t pay anything. Don’t take my word for it…go find out for yourself how bad it is. Lol. Like going to the circus. Worked at both the Mentor and Willoughby stores as a cook. The managment treat the hourly employees like trash. Basically they value management and look at hourly employees as expendable and don’t really ever invest or develope them. Including the cooks. Thats why the food is so bad. I was hired during covid when they were starting at $18 an hour. As soon as covid was over and wages began to fall they did everything they could to get rid of me and anyone else making a high hourly wage and replaced all the cooks with kids making way less. And only giving about 25-30 hours a week on top of it. Thats why the place is falling apart. The management gets paid trips and vacations like 10 times a year and the rest of the workers cant even get decent affordable insurance or retirement. They even get bonuses for keeping labor super low. Because of that none of the workers care.Extremely Oppresive environment for anyone trying to be a good worker. And the worst offenders are the management. Worst place I’ve ever worked. Got so bad I quit a job paying me $19 an hour. Got to the point I’d be sick to my stomach knowing I had to go work in such a toxic place. As Americans we can’t tolerate or support companies like this. Bad for everyone involved except the people pocketing our hard earned money laughing at us on their $7,000 couches.
They were very short staffed, but they maintained service very well. I was impressed how they all worked together with each other. This was my first time at this location. I will definitely go again !!Food: 5/5
Seeing that the Sunday hours went to 11:00pm, about 9:00, we arrived. Another person was ahead of us. We all waited, eventually poking our heads in various areas to be seen. The patron in front of us said no one had spoken with her yet for her take-out. We all waited more. Eventually we thought we'd eat at a bar table, so inquired of the bartender who was the only competent person in the dining areas. She walked over to the dining room, spoke with someone, and returned to us, back in the waiting area, saying someone would come by soon. When the server showed, we told her the other patron had been waiting a while. The server took us to the table. The room was sparsely filled, and 3 staff members slowly circulated, mostly cleaning up tables. They were ambling, at best, had not a care in the world. We sat waiting for about 15 minutes, but no one came by us, although they all saw us and made eye contact from around the room. They were not busy. No one came down the aisle where we sat. Not even water was brought to us. The other patron still was waiting for her take-out. It was like an episode of the Twilight Zone, how we were just ignored. After a while, we put on our coats and left. Apparently no one wanted their 20-25% tip, which went to a server at another restaurant.
Came in around 9:50pm Sunday night.. Stood at the door for 10 mins did not get acknowledged by anyone. There were 2 servers and a bartender. 2 tables and 4 bar guests. Everyone was looking at us like we were in the wrong for standing there waiting for a table, it was very uncomfortable. After making eye contact with the 3 workers several times, I asked the bartender if we were able to get some service. She rudely said “yeah we will be right with you” I’m literally watching the server sitting at the bar drinking her pop not doing anything, why can’t she seat us? Aren’t these servers wanting to make a good impression so we will leave them a nice tip? I don’t understand but I definitely don’t recommend this place!!! We turned around and walked out that door because I didn’t mind waiting for a table but, the fact that they didn’t even acknowledge us for that whole time on purpose and we didn’t get to eat is annoying. Website says closed at midnight, we were plenty early. Do better.
One of the better Applebees, with awesome friendly staff, great atmosphere and their usual amazing dishes. Great for a lunch or dinner out with friends or family, with meal options averaging $15 per person for solid portions. Great casual stop if you want to eat out on weekends. Their bar is usually pretty good ad well. Dietary restrictions: Staff are more than helpful and will modify dishes if asked Parking: Great parking tucked away behind Som center road
