Applegate prepared my taxes while I was out of the country in 2005.  Unfortunately, they made some mistakes and I ended up owing the government money plus interest.  Applegate was very slow to give me a response on what the error was (although to their credit, they did, just before the deadline), however the State was able to tell me pretty clearly why Applegate had made a mistake.  I paid the fine, and asked Applegate to cover just the cost of the interest which the State had fined me.  They demurred and have basically refused to help at this point.  My advice is to find a different tax company as this one will leave you high and dry when they make a mistake.
