Wonderful stop for a family summer Jersey Shore Vacation. I have come here for years every summer. It is tradition! The pool is well kept as is the jacuzzi! And they are open until 10 pm, giving great time to chat with others about your day. Covid has the housekeeping a bit out of sorts, but clean towels and supplies are easily found. The grounds are constantly being cleaned. The Bagel shop there is excellent for breakfast and lunch...closes at 2 pm. Try the fries! OR a fresh bagel with cream cheese and lox!! Many eateries deliver right to your door and there are restaurants nearby, too. The rooms are fair, and a bit dated. The LOCATION is a key selling point. The beach entrance is right across the street and the Boardwalk begins a block or so away. "Watch the Tramcar, please." I am pleased that Aqua Beach allows vacationers to stay overnight or a few days or week long.
My experience matched those of other recent guests. I would definitely consider staying here again if we can't find anything better. Pros: -Location is top notch. Right on the beach and next to the boardwalk. - Pool is really nice and I liked the gas grill access. Hammock area on the roof is cool too. Neutral: I'm glad I read about the lack of made service a head of time so i was prepared. They drop off some towels and trash bags throughout our stay which was nice. Also didn't feel compelled to leave the normal maid tip. Cons: -My room had a half fridge in it. We like to cook some meals ourselves to save money and wasnt a fan of reduced space. -The curtains are terrible. They were not made for a bedroom and let in a lot of light. -My brother noticed some bugs ants in his room. My room was fine though. -My parents bed was way too soft for them. Marshmallows is the word they used. My bed was fine, so i guess bed quality is up to luck. -Hammock area on the roof opens at 10AM. Not sure why it is and it would be really cool to watch the sunrise up there.
I would rate my stay as mediocre to not good for the price I paid. The positives: very friendly and helpful front desk staff, and heating/cooling unit in room worked great. The ok: relatively clean room few hairs in bathroom, but overall fine. The negatives: coffee maker in room, but no coffee provided what?, very worn uncomfortable bathroom towels, no streaming options for TV, only a sheet and thin blanket on bed, mattress sagged, sink was clogged, and toilet ran all night. The worst and ultimate reason I would not choose to stay again: no curtains! I had a very bright light outside my room and only venetian blinds for privacy and light-blocking which did nothing for keeping light out. I didn't even need to turn lights on in my room at night to see. Because of this I got very little sleep. I know the Wildwood area is expensive and I was very happy to find a place to lodge that was less than $150 a night, but still for the total price I paid the room should have been of higher quality.
The location is great - right on the beach and a block away from the boardwalk. However, the floor was dirty and there is no maid service. You can get fresh towels, but their system is not efficient. There is no internet service, despite what their website claims. My laptop and phone could not even find their network. Safety is also a concern - there is no security and anyone can come up to your room. We had a man passed out on our patio chair midday.
At first everything was great. Beach view was amazing. Unfortunately our sink leaked water in the bathroom, the wifi didn't workbecause the hotel was large and they didn't have strong enough signal to reach the whole hotel Also our blinds didn't work so you were able to see right into our room. I do have to say as soon as we called they came to put new blinds in and fixed what they could in the bathroom. Unfortunately the front desk clerk cared less about our dissatisfaction of our issues. The pool was mainly too crowded due to it being a larger hotel. Music was loud and every night the was a drunk kid screaming and doing some strange things. Normally most of this would not bother me except we have a 7 year old son and not having internet for his tablet at night, being able to see through to our room and a very intoxicated young man screaming at crazy hours had me a little disappointed. Though even with these issues they have a deck with hammocks on the top our with lights and a veranda which was absolutely heaven. Take a book enjoy the amazing view with a constant breeze and just relax. All in all not a bad place for our family vacation.
There absolutely zero hygiene , we paid 600$ for two nights and for a room on ocean view , the room we had was a park view , and we found the quilt of one of the beds has blood , we asked the housekeeper to get us another one , never came back . No phone on the room to call for service , no coffee , not even a cup , the beds are not comfortable at all so noisy and hard , and messy , the windows don’t block sunlight so no sleep , we had horrible nights . I don’t recommend this hotel and plus of that the beach is little far . If you have kids you can’t walk that much with beach car and kids . I don’t like the place at all ! And will never go back . If you want to make a choice go to cape may beach and get a nice inn there . This hotel needs an inspection.
Broken window blinds so people can see right in, leaky sink flooding counter. No wifi in our ocean view rooms, TV only had 7 or 8 working channels, neighboring room said the same for them. Front desk wasn't very helpful, neither was maintenence at first then they replaced the blinds and fixed the sink. Rooms are dated and need renovations. Location is great so are the views. Pool area was packed, hot tub was broken.
This was our third year at Aqua Beach. Exceeded our expectations for the third time. From the friendly staff always willing to help to the cleanliness of the entire resort, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The location is unbeatable as it's only steps from the boardwalk and the beach. Features a kids section of the pool which is great and our kids had so much fun playing & making new friends. Pool toys are a great ice breaker for the kids. We have stayed in the larger room the past 2 years with the kitchenette section and the extra room with a couch & TV. Perfect size for our family of 4. Also, their pricing is always reasonable & they offer great deals certain weeks in the summer & off-season. Aquabeach Hotel, please never change!
Aside from the close proximity to the beach this hotel sucks. The rooms aren’t clean and they barely have any parking. Per their website, each room is guaranteed a parking spot, but that was not the case.. Our last night at the hotel, there were no parking spots available. When we brought this to the attention of the person working the front desk he couldn’t of been more rude. He told us to use the meter parking on the street since it’s free until 8 am. Luckily, we didn’t get a parking ticket. However if we’re paying $400 a night for a room it’s an absolute joke that you can’t fully accommodate your customers with ample parking. This place will never be as good as the adventurer. Stay there instead.
The only positives of this place was the Great Location on the beach and near start of the boardwalk. Size of Room. Disliked · Not Clean,, Serious Bug problem ants in kitchen and bathroom, addressed with front desk and was given an "ok thank you" response, no apology, not even the courtesy of eye contact as she responded just kept looking at the computer monitor. Old Springy sagging mattresses, serious daily parking issues, at one point when we returned from breakfast and there was no parking I went to front desk while others waited in the car on the street and I was informed "employees should be leaving soon" as if I was to stand outside waiting for a spot when there is supposed to be a spot with each paid room. Completey flabbergasted. No curtains in room to block light, by 6:30 am everyone awake due to brightness. For $450 a night expected better, much better. Would never return to this hotel, ever.
