We did the hike up to St Mary's Glacier, and it was absolutely gorgeous. It wasn't a super easy hike, and it would not be suited for very small children or older people with mobility issues. However if you can reasonably walk and do a little bit of traversing over rocks, it is absolutely doable. If you get there in the morning pretty early, parking should not be an issue but I could see how coming later in the day might make it a little bit difficult to deal with your car. If you bring a picnic lunch and take everything back home with you, it would be a great spot to spend a whole day to the sights.

Beautiful area, but there are plenty of hazards that people should be aware of... like other people.  Taking selfies with elk in the background. Trying to find Moose to get close enough to take a picture.  Be safe out there people.

Went to Willow Creek Reservoir, beautiful lake with kayaking! No motorized boats but a cool beach! Private homes right above the lake that are gated off. They must have an amazing view over the lake and across the range! Very quite place and not many people at all! Expect afternoon rainshowers late summer! Definitely a MUST if you go to Granby or Grand Lake!

I love this place. It is colder but the views are wonderful. Very calm environment and If you are lucky you can find wild life.

Beautiful national forest , with abundant wildlife, great lakes for boating and recreation, and gorgeous views. Very peaceful here and helps you let go of societies pull. If you need any further convincing, you know an area is beautiful if it sits right next to Rocky Mountain National Park. What are you waiting for? Come play in your public lands!!
