The things people put up with to save a few. On the border with ghetto Hawaiian Gardens, this Lakewood Arco station is, how shall I put this? Not in the most posh community, if you catch my drift. Derelicts of varying demeanor are seen commiserating while crowds of customers fill up with cheap gas prices. It can be very dodgy maneuvering your way in & out of this gas station. I've literally seen cars sideswiped almost right in front of me. No joke! People waiting on one side, others waiting on the other side, it becomes quite the clusterfrick! Fortunately, I do not have to deal with this on a regular basis, as my truck is a Flex Fuel vehicle, of which I fill up at the nearby Propel Fuels station. However, my mom does gas up here & I've often been with her pumping gas. Debit & credit fees apply here, credit higher than debit. Bring cash money if you really want to max out the savings. Service has been okay. It's basically been "$30 on number 9", "change for number 4", etc. I don't buy things from the gas station store, as I prefer those purchases elsewhere. Although you can save a bit filling up here, I honestly would not recommend going here. The probability of getting into a fender bender (or worse) is extremely high, and the neighborhood is not the place I'd want my honey to be in. Do yourself a favor a gas up in nearby Cypress/La Palma/ or the western side of Lakewood. Here, it's the dumps.
