This has become our new family favorite! Great food. Great service. Family owned. Please go support this local gem. It's in a funky strip mall. Don't let that deter you. The enchiladas with chicken or cheese, with either red or green sauce are my favorite! My 80 year old dad, who is very very fussy really likes this place too. Weekends they have handmade corn tortillas too! Parking: Parking lot is kind of dark. Definitely needs more lighting. But it's huge lot.
The food is delicious fresh hand made tortillas on the weekends , menudo is always great 'doesn't smell like most menudo that isn't prepared correctly' the staff is always friendly and attentive, never waited for the refills. Armandos relocated to El Monte the service is still outstanding and the waitresses are very friendly and attractive. The food is still delicious. The bean did the serve with the tostada chips, is
Delicious and hearty Mexican dishes served quick and hot. Loved the cold drink with chia seeds. Clean and Casual environment Very attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended
This restaurant has the most disgusting payment and customer service practices I've ever dealt with. My husband ordered our food for pick up on 10/28. My husband specifically told the person who took the order to add extra meat to the cocido meal. When i got there, i was again confirmed by the lady at the counter of the extra cocido. However, when I arrived home, there was no extra meat. 5 meats total was in the soup plus a small amount of veggies, etc. I was so upset. On top of this, they added a $5.89 charge to the $35.16 payment made via my debit card. I did not put any $ tip, nor was there any signs of a fee applied if paying via credit card or debit card. I tried calling the restaurant, but they would not answer my calls and would let go to voice mail. We ate here before and I let the amount of $80 go even though the full meal price was $77 between me and my husband, but this time I'm really upset. WARNING DO NOT ORDER OR EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU ARE PAYING WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD THEY WILL RIP YOU OF YOUR MONEY. $5.89 MAY NOT BE MUCH BUT FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO BARELY HAVE $ LEFT OVER AFTER PAYING BILLS THAT $ IS A LOT.
This is a restaurant my family and I have come to since my childhood. It has gone through some significant changes, but alas, I feel it is currently in a better position. The seating has ample room for people to walk around, whether it be the waiters/waitresses or people going to use the restroom. The menu is concise and still manages to bring across food ranging from authentic Mexican breakfasts to seafood. The drinks are dry large. I ordered a regular horchata and did not need a refill for the duration of my meal, which was actually the Jr. Mex Burrito. You can't go wrong with that combination in my opinion. I will be coming back with new people.
Neighborhood place with a great menu. The attentive, friendly staff put you at ease, which help make this place so cozy. I must return for their Gigantic Colossal Humongous over-sized Burrito! The freshly made tostadas and delicious Salsa will have me return for more eats.
Great service and great food. Jonathan was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the lengua and al pastor tacos, both of which were delicious. The portions were generous as well. A great experience, I would recommend Armando's if you're looking for great Mexican food at a reasonable price.
The food was very delicious, this is one of my favorite restaurants. I've had the Cocido,Menudo, and Pollo en Mole, and it's all very good.Food: 5/5
