Story

Since 1884, Armbruster Jewelers has been around since 1884. Yes, 1884! Anna Marie Armbruster starts our 5th generation of Armbrusters working at Armbrusters. Likewise, many area families have shopped at Armbruster Jewelers for generations. Not just children, but grandchildren and their children. It's been their tradition.

A century-old store does have certain bragging rights. But age is relative. We should not be rewarded because we got old, but we should be recognized for how we got old. It means building trust. It means having the right products, the right people and the right price. It means we’ve done the right things over and over year after year after year. So start your own tradition. They took a look at an engagement ring I didn't even get from there and helped me diagnose what was wrong with it so I knew what to say when I sent it back for repairs. Then when looking for wedding bands, they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They wanted to make sure we liked the rings more than they wanted to make a sale. Very pleased!

I haven't purchased anything major from them before but recently, I went in for a new watch battery and was very pleased with the service. The gentleman working at the repair table immediately stopped what he was doing, flipped it open, changed the battery, set the time and date and had it back on my arms in less than 3 minutes. Not to mention it was the same price as what Wal-mart or Target charges. I know it was a small request and hardly worth writing a review on but their service and speed was fantastic. The employees were all extremely nice and friendly. I would highly recommend them to a friend!

I am very disappointed with the service I've gotten from Armbruster thus far, and likely won't be returning. Being newly engaged, I was anxious to have my ring resized and appraised. I called Armbruster, as they were the jeweler that was closest to where I lived, and was quoted a price for the appraisal and the resizing. When I brought it in, I was given a completely different price and the employees almost were insinuating that I was lying about what I was quoted, telling me, "we have always charged this price for what you're having done, I don't know who here would have given you that number." For some reason, though, I allowed them to keep the ring to size and appraise it, despite the higher price. (No, they wouldn't even give me any sort of discount for one of their own employees quoting me wrong numbers!) So I finally got the ring, and was happily on my way. Or so I thought. A few weeks later, the large stone in my ring was loose (luckily I noticed this before I lost it). I brought it into Armbruster again, figuring that they would just offer to tighten it, as it likely came loose due to them not tightening it when it was appraised, since they have to take out the large stone to do so. I drop it off, and, without even being told I'm getting charged, I picked it up this evening, and was charged $30. So now, I've given them over $100 in business, and feel that the service I got was sub-par. I'd rather bring my ring to a mall jeweler than back to Armbruster after my experience with them.

We recently had two custom pieces made at Armburster's and are delighted with both! John and his staff are very professional and creative. They helped us design a beautiful necklace using heirloom diamonds, even Skyping with our out of town daughter through the stages of design of the pendant to choosing the design and length of the necklace chain. She is excited to wear her one of a kind necklace for her wedding later this year. During that design process I lost the diamond out of my original wedding ring and, when I could not find what I was looking for in the store as a replacement, John designed and made a beautiful ring that is just what I envisioned. We found Armbruster's to have excellent customer service, excellent creative design and craftsmanship, and reasonable pricing.Highly recommend!
