We interviewed several builders before choosing Rob Glassey and Armour Construction. My husband and I are so grateful for the choice we made. Rob was wonderful to work with during this process. Building a house can be very stressful but Rob always exhibited such patience which made the process so much more pleasant. We have been in our home for a year now and we absolutely love it. Thank you Rob for making our dream home a reality. ❤

A good friend of mine built a home with Rob Glassey and Armour General Contractors. She raved about the wonderful quality of work, attention to detail, and the efficiency of the build process. She even commented that she had been a tough client when it came to choosing things like paint colors and that Rob was very patient with her throughout the entire process. Rob has a great reputation as a home builder and with local organizations like the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas. If you're looking for a great home builder in Lumberton, Hardin County, or anywhere in Southeast Texas Armour General Contractors has a great reputation for delivering more than they promise.

Rob turned what was supposed to be an exciting home remodel into a complete nightmare. Dealing with customers is Rob's true weakness, and now i understand why he prefers to build homes and then just try to sell them... he doesn't have to worry about anyone asking him what he is doing or why. Not only was he completely incompetant when trying to answer any questions we had for him... we discovered he would lie to us about how the job was going to be done, and then tell the sub-contractors to do it a different way that was cheaper so he could save money. We have uncovered so many shortcuts he took that we have had to have redone properly by someone who knew what they were doing. And to top it off, Rob is more of a child than my 11 year old son. I would request that a job be done a certain way and he would always argue... and only when i threatened to fire him did he finally give in and say 'fine, i will do it your way' like a kindergartener. I wasnt making uninformed or outlandish requests, but ones that we wanted because it is OUR HOUSE and not his. He really struggled with that. Oh, and i did end up firing him. My wife and i just couldnt take his crap anymore. Rob, if you are reading this, count yourself lucky we didn't sue you!!

I'm attaching a review from my website where there are several more just like this one from Ms. Dyrhaug. Also to Mr. Stamps review you will see from the attached letter sent to him and his bank which ended in his bank agreeing with me that I held up my part of the contract. Thank you for hearing my side. Rob Dayna Etie Dyrhaug — 5 starMy husband and I had a great experience with Armour General Contractors when they built the new addition to our house. We were very pleased with the final outcome. Mr. Glassy and his team were great to work with. They were on top of things every step of the way. Any questions, issues, etc. we had, he took care of. We experienced quality work and service. I would absolutely recommend AGC for your construction needs. Sign, Happy Customer Subject: Stamp project. Date: June 30, 2015 To Whom it involves. Armour General Contractors entered into an agreement/binding contract with Wells Fargo Bank and Mr. Stamp that was accepted and signed by all parties on April 2, 2015 Twice the Stamps and myself with several of my subs were allowed to view the project and make note of the scope of work that we would be performing. That scope of work was noted on said agreement. The first month went rather well as we were just doing all the demo that was required. Once they closed on the property we started to work. They were in the house in the evening and finding things that were not part of the original scope but wanted to make part of the scope without asking for an addendum. As we started to install materials ( flooring, porch railing etc.) my employees were coming to me and asking if they were supposed to do various things Ms. Stamp was insisting was part of the work I agreed to. Well I went along with some things, but when I decided I needed to let them know these extras were starting to build up beyond what I felt was reasonable they got insistent to the extent that Ms. Stamp would start yelling at me and calling me incompetent at the dismay of employees I had on the job at that time. I would listen, but not stoop to that level and never said a word. Mr. Stamp would tell me later that he couldn't do anything about that, which I now realize was correct. By this time I was getting late night text just about every night 9,10, 11 o'clock at night. I wouldn't respond because it was obvious they didn't know or understand the process that takes place during a renovation of this type. Each time after they realized they may have spoken too soon there was no I'm sorry or didn't understand. So I decided early on I needed to document all communications with these people. Which I have. Late night text, emails, audio recordings etc. Along with all my responses as well. This is a short version because of my character limit, but you can get an Idea what I was dealing with. Absolutely nothing Mr. Stamp has claimed was deemed credible including by his own Bank.
