We received such a friendly, personal and helpful service from Armstrongs for my mum's funeral arrangements.  I've never had to organise a funeral before, so appreciated the guidance from the office staff and the website with its links and brochures.  I was given a clear understanding of the choices of services and costs, and timescales involved.  All in-person, phone and emailed communications were timely and empathetic.  Our carefully planned wishes were carried out with seamless precision and comforting reliability.  I never felt any concerns that events wouldn't happen as promised.  I wouldn't hesitate to most strongly recommend Armstrongs for your funeral management.

Armstrong have made what I thought was going to be a very difficult experience to sort out  they were extremely  fantastic from  the  start to the day of  dads funeral.Their care, professionalism and understanding what sort of funeral I wanted for my dear dad was easy and they helped me every step of the way. Fiona was so lovely and it certainly wasn’t a morbid  experience. John Williams the celebrant was truly lovely and very down to earth.  I couldn’t recommend  Armstrong enough. Just superb and I can honestly say I think I did my dad proud on that sad day. Thank you every one involved.

We interviewed five funeral service providers in Bury St Edmunds. Armstrong's stood out on every score. Professional, courteous, responsive and - amazingly - a pleasure to deal with. They conducted the funerals of both our parents with great dignity and addressed every request. The difference from some others is that hey are family run and take a pride in their work. This is why I highly recommend them.

From the very first phone call, I found all of the staff at Armstrongs Funeral Service to be very friendly and supportive in what is a very emotional and stressful time. The expert way that my wife’s funeral was arranged to my wishes and the respectful way that it was organised and conducted was exemplary. I was also very appreciative of the more subliminal support that was provided such as the presence of white roses on the empty bed, on the coffin in the chapel of rest and at the funeral itself. These gestures illustrate the thoughtfulness and compassion with which the whole relationship was conducted. I have no hesitation in recommending Armstrongs and giving them a 5* award.

We chose Armstrong's not only because we wanted to support a local business, but from speaking to Nick beforehand to discuss our requirements, they came across as very friendly and helpful.  Indeed, being an independent family business, Armstrong's were able to offer us a more personalised choice of options,  allowing us to choose exactly what we wanted from the services they offer. They also gave  the right level of advice and support whilst we were going through this very traumatic period, and were immensely  patient and understanding.   What's more, the team showed great attention to detail,  adding little touches here and there, going the extra mile, and were professional throughout. Excellent company which I recommend without reservation. They were thoughtful, warm, sensitive, very efficient - everything you'd wish in order to help you deal with the burial of a loved one, in this case, our beloved Mum.  I felt I was dealing with a company of the highest integrity, which is pretty rare these days.  We were blessed enough to have Lewis handle things but I am sure anyone there would be excellent. I was so very impressed with the kindness and empathy of Lewis during  the funeral arrangements for my husband Paul. He went the extra mile to ensure that Paul's funeral was exactly what he and I wanted for him. Everyone who attended were 'blown away' by the quality and professionalism of Lewis and the pall bearers. The Humanist Celebrant Rachel was perfect, and the slideshow with the chosen accompanying song served to highlight the shining light that was my husband. And those thoughtful little extra touches make for such a positive experience at one of the worst times we as human beings have to face. I cannot thank everyone at Armstrongs enough.

We recently buried my father and Armstrongs dealt with all the funeral arrangements. We were extremely happy with how everything was handled. Not only very professionally but we also felt very looked after. All our concerns were met with patience and understanding. From the receptionist to the driver and the pall bearers. I cannot praise Armstrong's Funeral Service enough.  They looked after my late father with such care, consideration and dignity.  The whole process of organising the funeral was made straightforward and the actual funeral itself was a fitting tribute to a man who was so loved. The word personal really sums up this local company; that's why we chose them at this difficult time in our lives.  All staff were lovely, but a special mention must go to Lewis whose gentle manner and care was really appreciated.  There is no need to consider any other funeral directors as these are, without a doubt, the best in Bury.  Thank you.
