Rachael at Arrow helped us with the tile for our kitchen remodel as well as a bathroom remodel a year later. Always very helpful and attentive, and got the products we needed very quickly. Sure, the prices will be higher than Home Depot, but the quality is also much much higher and the service significantly better. Highly recommend!

We did a kitchen backsplash with some lovely hand-painted ceramic tiles acquired at Arrow Tile, the tiles themselves made in not-so-far-away Maine. The staff seemed helpful and communicative as we placed a special order for the tiles, but when we received them the experience soured very quickly. Without going in to too much detail, the bullnose tiles that we ordered for one edge of the kitchen were all painted with a top-down brush stroke, restricting the intended use of the tiles to only one possible application: top-down brush strokes across the whole kitchen (the other two choices being 'mixed' and 'left-right'). Of the three options, we thought this would look the worst and were disgruntled that the staff at Arrow Tile hadn't given us a 'left-right' or 'mixed' option for the bullnose tiles, or at the very least warned us that we would only be able to use them in one orientation. We asked them to replace the bullnose tiles for us. They refused, adamantly, telling us to order new ones and chalk it up as a loss. So to sum it up: The selection here is wonderful and you won't find these tiles at your local box store. But the staff lacks expertise on their product, refuses to acknowledge their own mistakes, and did not properly explain what we would be receiving when we placed a special order.

I've bought tile for projects here and at Home Depot. At Home Depot, you won't get a lot of sales help, but all the prices are lisrted and you can see the inventory. Arrow Tile has a huge selection of tile, and very knowledgable salespeople, but you have to ask the price of every single thing, and you might have to wait a long time to get someone's attention. The reason you shop at a local specialty place like this is for help, advice and ideas, but that means the store needs to have adequate help on hand, or you're wasting your time,.
