Art Cleaners has been really good to us over the last 15 years (long time!). We've been customers for long enough to go through a couple of glitches (which I think is inevitable for any business handling cleaning of any kind). Both times, the manager has been completely willing to look into the issue, and to make me whole (even for a big-ticket item). Misty, in particular, has been terrific to deal with. Folks who work in the North Store (near Lucky's) are always friendly and professional. They also take care to note special instructions, time constraints, etc. And, of course, this company has made real strides in the eco-friendly department. We've been so happy with not only the quality of the cleaning, but also the fact that our clothes and bedding don't feel (or smell) infused with chemicals or perfumes. Thanks, Art Cleaners, for taking great care of this long-time customer!

I called to see how much it would cost to clean a shirt and a pair of pants the pants were $3.75 and the shirt $5 totaling $8.75 and they were 3 days out.. they said for next day service it was a 10% fee extra so I said okay do that.. 2 days later they were finally done and the bill was $21.... With tax what they told me I should have been around $11 when I asked why it was different they guy said "I don't know but that's what you owe" I paid it and I doubt I will be back.. I know the owners and they convinced me to try them out and I was disappointed in my first experience.

I am very disappointed with the customer service. I have spend hundreds of dollars here and the one time I complained they did very little to help. They returned a $400+ Kate Spade dress to me with a broken zipper. They failed to mention that it was broken and I didn't find out it was damaged until the day I wanted to wear it (which happened to be at a bridal shower in a different state - I had to buy a new dress because the one they damaged wasn't wearable.) When I told the employee what had happened he gave me Gina's phone number at the main store in Boulder. I left a message for her which she never returned. I had my dress repaired at a tailor and Art Cleaners refused to reimburse the cost of the repair even though they were the ones who damaged my dress. It was a $15 fix that they refused to pay. In addition, on multiple occasions, I have pulled items out of the bag once I had already returned home, to find they were still dirty. I told the employee and he suggested I take out each piece at the store to ensure that the items had been cleaned. I think it is their responsibility to make sure they have cleaned the items before returning them. I shouldn't have to inspect the items every time to make sure they are doing their job. On another instance, they put my clothing under a different customer's name. Today I went in to have an item cleaned and I was no longer in their system for some reason. I will not be using them as a cleaner anymore and I suggest you don't either.

I worked as an employee for Art Cleaners for three years. During that period i got to know the business and the people who run it intimately. I can honestly say that I have never worked for a company that is more dedicated to their staff and their customer base. As customer service representative and later a delivery driver i always felt like I was an appreciated member of the team, and while working during school, the company was incredible helpful in working out a schedule that allowed me to pursue education and make a steady paycheck. I was also amazed at how hard Brian and the other management staffed stressed the importance of making it right with the customer. As with any dry cleaning business occasionally items came back without getting the stains out, or with buttons falling off in the wash. Every time, the second cleaning of the item or fix by our seamstress was done for free and almost always for the same day. That service which is so rarely seen in the modern day is why I remained with the company for three years, and why Art Cleaners remains the best dry cleaner's every year in Boulder's Best.

The good news is that Art Cleaners waived the charge for replacing a zipper on a jacket, so I had the work done for free. The bad news is that 1) the price range quoted for the replacement, both on the phone and in person, when I dropped off the item, was less than the price they wanted to charge in the end. I argued them back down to the higher end of the price range. 2) The item was not ready by the day promised. 3) When I went the next day to pick it up at their Lee Hill location, which we had discussed both when I dropped the jacket off originally (downtown) AND on the phone later, the jacket was downtown. I would have been happy to have paid the original amount had the transaction gone without incident.
