Overall this place is clean, staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I enjoyed my time talking to the person doing my manicure and sipping coffee. Unfortunately I've been debating whether to give 3 stars instead of 4 because the manicure itself didn't turn out looking that great. Even if I hadn't asked for a simple design (which looks sloppy), the shellac itself has started to bubble and crack after just 3 days. The color looks uneven in some spots. She did seem very knowledgeable and gave lots of good tips for my nails, but the product and result just weren't that great. I've also noticed that a lot of places, including this one, don't paint your nails all the way to the sides and the back, making it look like you've had your manicure for a week already when it's only day one. I probably won't be back for my nails at least; the salon itself is very nice and I'm sure the ladies are all great at doing hair; nails, not so much. I also don't like making appointments for nails - usually I get my nails done on a whim and like walking in to do so; Artistic Strands is usually too busy for walk ins and my schedule continues to be very full at work and at home.

I will add one more star for their professionalism in their response and offer to fix my nails, though I do not think I will be taking them up on their offer.

I recently went to Artistic Strands and Spa for highlights and a trim.  My hair stylist, Amanda greeted me with a warm welcome and tour.  She executed my hair exactly as I hoped and was a lot of fun to chat with.  I appreciate how well this salon treats their customers.  Great pricing.  I already set up my next appointment.

I saw Sarah for the first time here. I have super thick curly hair and I never know how to care for it. She gave me amazing tips!! I have tried so many things with my hair, but this time was by far the BEST!! She is by far the best I have ever seen and she gets my style and works for me!!

Rachel cut and colored my hair...best color I’ve had in years!  I finally feel like myself again!  I feel like Rachel really listened to what I wanted and my concerns.  I will absolutely be back.
