We stopped in for social hour on a Saturday afternoon when they opened. First of all, I love that they do this on Saturdays! Not many places have happy hour on the weekend. We had a few cocktails and the following apps- Chicken satay, cup and char mini pizza, calamari, and Korean sticky ribs. Everything was very tasty, I'd have all of these again! My top 2, pizza and chicken satay but the calamari was also very delicious. We are definitely planning to come back soon for a full dinner experience. The staff was super friendly, the chef kept coming out of the kitchen to chat with the bar patrons while there was no orders in. Our bartender was helpful and made some great cocktails. Definitely worth checking out if you've never been!

Arugula was one of those places I always passed by and was curious to try, so when my friend asked me to go there with her I was so excited! I knew that they had a lot of Mediterranean influence on the menu but wasn’t expecting the flatbread section of the menu - we ordered two and they were delicious! It was a fine dining vibe with really professional and attentive staff.

For the locals this is a well known place. The flat breads are larger than a good size dinner plate and could feed two. Try the middle eastern taste plate with three different dips. The have to try delicious Lemon cake with berry compote is a 1/4 the size of an entire cake it’s a two person size. Dirty martini excellent and the black manhattan seemed sweet but wasn’t. Good surprise. Total for two 4 drinks two apps and dessert $125 well worth it.

One of the best food places in west Hartford. Truly impressed with the chef’s talent. The flatbread was phenomenal- we got the wild mushroom which is drizzled in truffle dressing. An absolute must try, one of the best flatbreads I’ve had. The couscous is a staple and delicious but the prize went to the duck confit and wild mushroom ravioli. So much flavor, and the ingredients compliment each other very well in this dish. The only somewhat down side is that it is a smaller space, so you may require a reservation

We had not been to Arugula in years and popped in last night on a whim. Bottom line: Arugula is a true gem. Cozy, European style vibe inside, nice bar area, and while it’s a smaller restaurant, the spacing between the tables and walkways felt just right. Our hostess and waiter were both so kind. We had dueling martinis  his gin and mine vodka - excellent. Escargot dish was so creative - not the usual approach and it was awesome! The steak was fantastic, juicy with great flavor. Israeli couscous with chicken was scrumptious- loved the abundance, texture, flavors. Lemon cake was decadent!  Seriously perfect- we will be back- with friends!

Love that spot. Serving really good food. Very quick too! Such nice atmosphere. Place is almost all the time crowded, so definitely recommend to order a table instead just go and try to get a table. Their duck with ravioli..delicious. Ive ordered also the onion rings, were good, but abit too much bread crumbs for me. Sauce tho..delicious. 5/5 for me.

I had such an amazing meal with my good friend in this warm, inviting, relaxed environment.  Our server, Michael F., was so attentive and accommodating to us, we felt like we were special guests in his home!  For our appetizer, we had lobster toast, and our main course was a teriyaki salmon, bok choi, and edamame meal that was bursting with umami.  We were so satisfied with those dishes that we could have quit there, but we couldn't resist the warm apple crisp ala mode.  Their wine list was impressive, but I was very happy with their Italian lavender-infused seltzer.

The best Mediterranean restaurant I have eating love the food and the service and also the prices I will recommend  to my family and friends

Finally got a reservation here! It’s a Mediterranean fusion spot. Dishes I tried - - mushroom truffle pizza - Mediterranean platter - tiramisu - Korean bang cauliflower  All the veggie dishes I tried were incredible and delicious. Flavorful food , kinda pricey but worth it!

I grew up in West Hartford but somehow never wandered into Arugula until today. Boy, have I been missing out! From the moment we were greeted by the host it was clear the staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was so clean and the menu says the staff is all fully vaccinated, which made me feel even more comfortable. We sat outside and the ambience was just lovely. We felt like it was a little vacation! Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and very hardworking. We ordered the fromage plate to start and o-m-g it was to die for! Our entrees quickly followed and did not disappoint. We ordered coffee to end our dinner just so we could soak it all in a bit longer. So impressed with this place! Cannot wait to go back.
