I stopped by Mitsuwa for groceries and saw that this empty space was finally filled. I made an appointment with Nao and came back the next week on a quiet Tuesday afternoon.  

It was everything I expected of a Japanese hair cut and more. Helping me take off my jacket and taking my purse to my station. A nice towel on the face while shampooing so you don't get sprayed with water.  He even offered a charger for my phone! 

Nao has expert hands and was very animated and energetic.  His native language is Japanese and he speaks English very well. I'd definitely give him a try if you're looking for a change of stylist! The hair cut was reasonable, around $50.
