Reviews
I usually love going to the dentist, but the vibe here was really weird. It was my first time there, so my opinion is based on a very limited experience, but I felt it was important to review. I moved rooms several times and met with the dentist, who immediately pushed whitening on me. Then I had to meet with their business manager to discuss my insurance and I was once again asked about whitening my teeth, saying it is usually $700 but I can get it now for $327. They also pushed for adding a fluoride treatment when I haven’t had that since I was a kid (and, from everything I have read, doesn’t add any benefit to my dental health). Something just felt creepy and scam-like. The best part about the visit was the dental hygienist, Megan, who was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable (she also said the $43 fluoride treatment wasn’t necessary for me). The dental assistant Julia was very sweet, too. I have to say, though, if I had a choice (which our insurance doesn’t give us) I would not make this my dental office. I really don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I think it’s good to have constructive feedback.

Makayla and Megan are very dedicated to their commitment to provide customers with the best care. I had a fantastic experience in their office and I'm working hard to set up additional appointments to finish the work that we all started! Hopefully I'll be visiting their office again very soon! The dentist that responded to my needs was one of the best dentists' that ever treated me! Thanks again for a great experience!! I look forward to seeing you again very soon!

Very friendly and professional staff, everyone from Haleigh and Megan to Brittany are terrific to talk to and helped explain everything I needed to know. Megan did a fantastic job getting my teeth cleaned. I'm very satisfied and would recommend Dr. Ala and his staff to everyone. Best dentist visit I've ever had.

I was under the assumption that I was going in for a cleaning/check up. To come to find out it was only an inspection and I would have to set up another appointment to do the cleaning/whatever work needed done. I have never been to dentist office that works that way. You go in for a cleaning and then if more needs to be done then you set up another appointment. I was never once was told that when I set this appointment up or even when I was in the office. After getting my x-rays, I sat in a room for 45mins without seeing anyone. I finally just got up and walked out because no one clearly want to talk to me about what the next steps were or to set up my cleaning. Going here was the biggest waste of my time. I came here because they were the only dentist office open past 5pm so I didn't have to take off work. From now on, I will just take off work and go to a real dentist office where the people working on your teeth will talk to you about the next steps instead of waiting for an office manager. IF YOUR TIME MEANS ANYTHING TO YOU, DO NOT GO HERE.

The receptionist, x-ray tech, and Brittney in billing were great. They were personable, answered all my questioned and laid everything out in an understandable manner. In the x-ray tech's case, very thorough in explaining where I could put my purse and patient with me while I fiddled with my glasses and patient with me on the positioning for x-rays. I came in with complaints of toothache, as their website says you should do in case there is an underlying cause. I had previously been to a dentist that recommended extraction of the very tooth that was causing me pain currently. What floored me first was the dentist's scoff after my answer to his question, "You have all this decay, what's stopping you from getting in to get work done?" and my reply of "I couldn't afford it." "So, because you couldn't afford it, you didn't come in and get work done." Then I was told that I was lying when I told him that I was brushing twice a day. He attempted to scare me with dentures at 30 after I asked for my toothache tooth to be pulled, which I already honestly expected dentures at 30 years old with the knowledge of my decay. I've never had problems with my wisdom teeth by age 20 so no dentist has ever recommended to take them out. In order to get a root canal and crown on my toothache tooth, I would have to get my wisdom teeth out. There was just no way this could be worked around. At the end of the day, the estimation of work came out at over 10 grand, I was given a recommendation to an endodontist because they don't do molar root canals at this location, and no recommendation for the pain in my tooth in the mean time. Get a second opinion. The other low star reviews on this place about multiple appointments, high billing, and especially rude doctors are what my experience was like today. I didn't have any issues with insurance but I'm sure those reviews about not working with their insurance is quite true as well.
