Was looking at my teeth and realized I have a cavity, called Aspen this morning and they had a 7:45 appointment available, wow was I lucky, I arrived and was received by very polite lady, then Yen Yen took me to X-ray and was very kind and thoughtful, the dentist looked and confirmed the cavity, then did a filling, he was great did not feel the shot. Then they shifted me to David, he was very good also , did a great job. Yen Yen was especially great her personality is large and lovely.

We were told we had 12 and 12:30 appointment, but actually they were later. the staff is friendly and nice. very professional. being a chain, they certainly don't have the "home town Dentist" feel, and they make you feel like your just a number and not a patient, but over all good experience

Apparently it's perfectly acceptable with staff to cancel appointments for people in pain, that already had to wait three weeks for the first appointment scheduled to fix it, and not properly get ahold of clients so that they show up,driving from an hour away only to be told ooops, sorry. The soonest we will get you in is another month away. I'm stuck having to wait and come back because you already used up my insurance benefits and I already paid for half of the services I haven't even received! Update: On my second trip back, I was told they were going to have to reschedule me because I was 13minutes late, no thanks to constriction. They said I was over 17minutes and they no longer had time for me. After arguing with the staff, ending with my crying because of the amount of pain I have been in, around 30minutes after my appointment time, they decided to actually do my work I needed. They decided to only fill two of the cavities of the three I needed done, and they still finished those before the hour was up. Had they just gotten me back to the dentist, who seemed to be the only person in the building who even slightly cared for their patients, they could have done all three without all the drama that ensued. The manager and especially the front desk lady need to get fired or get their act together because they make the practice an absolute joke.

I have been very happy with Aspen in the past. The staff has been kind and communicated well with myself and my children. The assistants have always been helpful and our reg. dentist is great. This time, however, we saw a different dentist. This dentist went so far as to ask if my daughter had ever been to the dentist before - even though she is a regular patient there. He didn't look at her records first. (She broke a tooth and didn't want to trouble me with it so didn't say anything for quite a while). He then shamed her about tooth care - instruction and encouragement are just fine and dandy - kids are kids, but shaming does not help anyone. He asked about our background more than my daughter's tooth care - asking where we live (getting more specific with each question) and asked what my husband does for a living. FYI - this is info in her record if it's needed and not appropriate to ask. The dentist barely spoke to me about care plan - he talked to his assistant (mumbling) instead. I had to have him called back to ask questions about care going forward, and he was rather short with me. I did speak to his assistant after, and she was wonderful. She suggested I speak to the office manager, and I did. His solution was to say he was sorry and that he was sure the dentist hadn't "meant to be like that." I responded that not meaning to can be much worse, and someone needed to say something to him so another patient doesn't experience the same. I believe the manager was trying to be helpful, but I don't feel like I was really heard. I felt more like he was placating than noting a true problem. The dentist was completely inappropriate in his questions and some of the things he said. My daughter had felt ashamed that her tooth broke (probably on popcorn - these things happen!) and so didn't tell me, but now she feels shamed all around about it.
