Edit: Dr. Ryser personally contacted me and resolved the issue. He was unaware of the issue until the previous review was posted, and went above and beyond the call to fix the problem and provide further assistance. Hopefully the office staff has improved to match the quality of Dr. Ryser. I would recommend him. Another customer frustrated with billing. Surgery went fine, but I paid the $1,000+ cost up front. They've owed me a large chunk of it back in an overpayment refund for 10+ months now. They won't return my calls. They send me out of the office when I come in asking for a check with the excuse that the billing person isn't in that day, or this office isn't in charge of billing, or the other location is the only one that can write checks, etc. A lot of double talk, no money. Save yourself some heartache and go somewhere else. Will be reporting them to the Utah division of consumer protection and medical licensing board for unethical behavior if I don't get a check by the weekend.

My son had his wisdom teeth removed from The Aspire Surgical team in Taylorsville by Dr. Shamo & I had Botox. Neither one of us had any difficulties post-op and I love my results, (which I noticed right away) I will definitely be going back for my “upkeep” 😁 They are all well trained, very friendly and professional and I would highly recommend them!

Dr.Shamo has been very great to work with. He truly cares for his patients. I am thankful that I was referred to him. I know that he is giving me the best possible care.

The office staff at the Taylorsville clinic are so warm and welcoming, I immediately felt like I was family! Thank you Dr. Shamo for putting me at ease before my procedure!!

Billing & insurance claims seem to be a big problem with Aspire Surgical. After reading all the reviews & seeing how many patients have the same issues that I do, it sure makes me wonder if there is some kind of fraud or scam going on here. Perhaps this is why they changed the name of their practice because the reputation was not good? My daughter had her wisdom teeth out here & we were told insurance would cover all but $400.00 & that they had obtained a pre- auth to do the surgery. She had them out & now I keep getting billed for the full amount of the surgery. I have been trying to get this issue resolved for over a year & the staff is always snotty & rude to me. Must be awful working for a practice that has so many fraudulent claims against them, but they are very unprofessional & down right unfriendly. Dr. Ryser is destroying his practice, reputation, & everything he has worked hard for in his life by allowing his billing department to handle these issues the way that they are. It's unfortunate for him & his medical staff because they are very good at what they do clinically speaking. Maybe all of us with billing issues & fraudulent insurance claims should contact Get Gephardt & see if they can get to the bottom of all this or even all seek legal council together? I would not recommend Aspire Surgical to anyone ever.
