Story

The Old Astoria City Hall, now known as the Clatsop County Historical Society Heritage Museum, is a historic building located in Astoria, Oregon, United States listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building served as the city hall of Astoria from 1905 until 1939. It was the first location of the Columbia River Maritime Museum, from 1963 to 1982, and has been the Heritage Museum since 1985.History as city hallThe first Astoria city hall was designed and built in 1878 by Albert W. Ferguson. His son's firm of Ferguson & Houston also built the second building, located at 16th and Exchange streets, but the building's design was by Emil Schacht. The new building would be larger than its predecessor, as well as more modern. Construction began in 1904 and was completed in June 1905. The second Astoria City Hall was formally dedicated on July 4, 1905. All city offices, as well as the city library, were located in the new building. In the 1930s, it was decided to move city hall to a location in downtown, as the location at 16th and Exchange streets was rather isolated; the original, 1878 city hall had also been located in downtown Astoria. The city used a Public Works Administration grant to fund the conversion of a former bank building on Duane Street into a New City Hall. The city offices were moved out of the Old Astoria City Hall on Exchange Street, into the new premises, at the end of March 1939.

IamVictim Ofseasidepd Shared publicly "I am in earnest — I will not equivocate — I will not excuse — I will not retreat a single inch — AND I WILL BE HEARD," clarified the position of the victim IamVictim Ofseasidepd Seaside Police Department 1091 S Holladay Dr, Seaside, OR 97138 Surfside Inn 210 N. Downing St. Seaside, OR I was handing cash to Aaron when Angie spoke bizarrely vulgar descriptive words while staring in my direction her husband didn't say anything I thought he was embarrassed about her, maybe, turrets syndrome so I did the same said nothing he quickly handed me the key. I told him I was afraid of dogs but he let his large black dog out it circled my vehicle for a while he allowed this to happen for a long while. Two days later I wanted to go crabbing since my dog was on veterinarian ordered bed rest I wanted to go anyways Aaron physically blocked me in the parking lot and said, "I don't want that dog in that room!" he had an angry disposition so I put her in my vehicle for about 20min while I went looking for crabs but like Russell Sweet said you can't find the crabs that easy. Some time after that I was getting into my vehicle Aaron got into my vehicle other door and he said he wanted to speak to me I assumed an apology he said, "I used to have a problem too I got help and that is all behind me now." I was not at all comfortable with him being in my vehicle and finally stumbled out, What are you talking about!" I thought he was asking me for sex I told him he made me uncomfortable he didn't apologize he said, "I didn't mean to." and left my vehicle. Yeah, I just thought weirdo I didn't expect asking these people for my money back would be received well so I stayed and endured several episodes where Angie and an older couple with a terrier and the grounds keeper Dave taunting me and my dog through the room window I mostly heard Angie saying vile taunting words, "That's right they beat you oh they raped you too thats what you deserved. I was subjected to these taunting episodes several times. The older man and woman with the terrier stopped in front of my truck yelling, "Thats right that dog should be shot that dog is a bad dog it should be put down that is a vicious dog." Russell was with me he looked at me and said, "Why are they doing that?" Several times while driving around town the female animal control officer Lorna Brandt blocked my vehicle with hers and asked me questions about how long I was going to stay I believe she called a residence I had also called to inquire about the price and availability while sitting in my vehicle across the street to inquire about renting and instructed the person to not to rent to me. Another time the female animal control officer Lorna Brandt again blocked my vehicle with hers to tell me the place I was inquiring about was being watched by the FBI and a drug raid was eminent. Both times about the rentals I was accompanied by a man named Russell Sweet just an annoying boring man that followed me one day on the beach and then back to my hotel. One of the times Lorna Brandt inquired about my dogs Rabies shot record I showed it to her Russell was with me he got out of my truck grumbling took his bike out the back of my truck and rode it around until Lorna drove off after I showed the record I informed her of the harassment from the owners of the hotel and the older couple. The last day of my stay I heard the old man again from my room calling to my dog using taunting language and tone I just needed to get my belongings and clean the room up and get away from that situation I again reticent continued to get my stuff packed when the old woman entered my room and grabbed my arm
