Dr. Fleagle listens intently, is thorough, explains findings and options clearly, and isn't afraid to look something up. The staff is responsive and friendly, and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for an appointment -- even a same-day appointment when they are working me in with regularly scheduled patients because of an acute issue. 5 stars!

Update: I failed to mention that the doctor who quadrupled rather than doubled my heart med.s to the alarm of the pharmacist, failed to give me a simple breast exam until my third visit (scheduled two weeks apart with yet another one coming up that I canceled), gave me a worthless RX for compression stockings common for venous insufficiency but the worse possible thing for Peripheral Artery Disease without having tests done, ALSO FAILED TO TELL ME MY URINALYSIS CAME BACK ABNORMAL? Only calling me after I complained on the "portal" email message system.

If I could afford to live in San Francisco I never would have returned to Athens. That said, I could walk in to any one of three clinics and expect and find knowledgable care providers; nurses, doctors, staff. I am not the only "transgender person" living in Athens. Believe me. You want to claim to serve the community? Then you need to get educated. 

I don't mean lip service with someone locally claiming to be a "trans advocate." Contact Tom Waddell Urban Health Clinic Transgender Clinic in San Francisco. Contact Lyon-Martin Health Services of San Francisco. Contact St. James Infirmary of San Francisco. Contact Callen-Lorde of NewYork. Get informed. It's been 18 YEARS since Robert Eads died because he couldn't find informed and compassionate medical care in North Georgia. Nothing, not one goddamn thing has changed.
