Attorney Patty Knepp offers probate and family law services in Trumbull County.

Story

Patty Knepp was born in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Mary Lou (Ravella) Leopardi and the late John A. Leopardi. She is a 1982 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. In 1990, Patty graduated from Youngstown State University, with a BA in Psychology. She then pursued her dreams to work in the legal field by attending the Akron School of Law. In 1993, she graduated with a juris doctorate, passed the bar, was sworn in by the Ohio Supreme Court and was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and in 2016, Patty was appointed to serve as Acting Judge of the Warren Municipal Court.

Patty was blessed to work with her father in his legal practice in Warren, until his passing in 2005, and she continues that practice to this day. She focuses her career on helping many people, with a passion for working with the young, elderly and a concentration in helping families. During her career, she also served as a guardian ad litem in the Trumbull County Domestic/Juvenile Court, to protect the interests of children.

Patty was a former member of the St. Peter and Paul school committee and served as their legal counsel. She was also a former board member of the Infant of Prague Manor and she currently attends St. Mary’s Church of Warren.

Patty also had the opportunity to help those inflicted with addiction and/or convicted of misdemeanor offenses, through her work with the Residential Education Alternative and the Warren Workhouse.

In 1983, she married her husband Duane, and they have a son, Orion and a daughter and son-in-law, Aarika and Brian Sheehan. Most recently she has been blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, America Sheehan. Patty was a longtime volunteer and past president of the Trumbull County Humane Society and enjoys caring for animals.

To Patty, practicing law and working with people, on a daily basis, is much more than a job, it’s a calling, and one of the most rewarding professions to be involved in.
