I was in a auto accident with Lorenza Dorsey the captain of the auburn police dept. I was traveling on 280 and he was behind me for a few miles. I turned off on 72 and I was waiting to turn in my co workers driveway when I was rear ended by Dorsey. Speed limit was 45 mph and he totaled my vehicle. Then he was picked up from the scene no drug test or anything was performed. To top all that he didn't check on me. So be careful when the Au police is behind u

Two officers responded to my daughter's trailer to investigate a possible break-in. They arrived in a timely manner and went through her trailer and luckily nothing was wrong. They were extremely considerate. Two thumbs up.

Called and made a noise complaint for the 1st time. An officer came out patrolled the area. I watched him from my window the entire time. He basically came up to the door barely knocked on my neighbors door. I'm sure because they're so loud they didn't hear him. And he just walked away. I'm like really thanks for not salicin the problem and doing your job. Didn't bother coming to my door either. Smh. Terrible.

The only time I had an experience with this law enforcement division was during a traffic stop on Magnolia. The young officer was incredibly patronizing and touted his personal opinion over me as if it was law. I was simply wearing sandals while riding a motorcycle. Admittedly, that is stupid (really stupid, just hear me out, please), however it is footwear and the law on motorcycle riders states that footwear is required. Sandals are things that you WEAR on your foot. This young officer needs to learn to enforce the law, not his opinion of the law. While reaching for my insurance, I was having trouble getting it out of my wallet. While waiting, the young officer said a snarky remark to the tone of "I don't know how they do it in [the state I'm from] but here in Alabama, we have insurance on our motor vehicles," as if one, I didn't have insurance, and two, assuming I didn't have insurance that it would be "news" to me that the great state of Alabama required insurance on motorcycles. I am paying these fine gentlemen to protect me, not to patronize me. It annoys me that they feel as though it's their job to intimidate law abiding, tax paying citizens. Why is it that people dread interacting with police? Because of people like this young gentleman. It is not pleasent. I would have gladly accepted a ticket over being treated like a child. I would rather pay a measly fine via a respectful officer over a warning from a condescending, overzealous, and patronizing officer. All in all though, for the most part they do keep our streets safe. I just wish I had more positive interactions with them.
